Hello Group,
Sorry for cross posting this, but I got no takers in the previous board, and I'm despite for an answer. I am about to put s new set of Bilstein B6 shocks on my 2014 r61 S All4. The quote for the whole job is coming up to like 1900+. This sounds much higher than I was expecting. Can anyone tell me if this is about right for the car. I'm supposed to be dropping it off tomorrow morning. Bare in mind that The B6s are nearly impossible to get at this point and time. 99% of the places I have called (Tire Rack & Bav Auto.... etc) are out of stock until like September.

Outmotoring is showing fronts at 275 each and rears at 165 each. So parts should be roughly 880 with 500 in labor add 100 for alignment and max would be 1500 or so. Definitely on the high end.

What are the places labor rates? I saw something in another post about a MINI place in Florida being over $200 an hour.

Wow, I remember when it cost me $100 and a few hours to change out all my shocks. I'm old.

Are your shocks/struts shot or are you just looking for a performance upgrade?

How many miles on car?

Well I'm in NY so I think labor rates are like $98 hr or something like that. Also nobody seems to have those shocks in stock right now, even thought they have them posted on their websites. Thus I'm getting quoted $350+ each for the fronts and 200+ for the rears. So Perhaps its supply and demand thing... Yes my shocks are shot and the car is down right dangerous..... If anyone knows where I can get them cheaper, I will be all over it.
