When is the 2015 Countryman available to order?
We don't post much, currently have a 2010 Mini Cooper S Conv that my wife absolutely loves. Now that she's pregnant with our first child we're looking to move up to the Countryman. She was at the dealer last month and really likes the small updates to the 2015 model, but I can't seem to get a definitive timeframe from the dealer on when they'll be available to order? Anyone have some better information?
I've also been perusing the child seat and stroller threads. Lots of great information on this forum.
We'll also have to customize her Countryman a bit as she really enjoys the uniqueness of her Laurel Edition. So any ideas or suggestions there are welcome!
Thanks!

email from MINI
The new MINI Countryman will be built starting July 2014 so I would estimate an ordering date of late June/early July.
Great choice by the way – the new 2015 MINI Countryman will be a fantastic car!

We we ordered out 2015 this past Friday. We sat down with the dealer and basically spec'd out a 2014 and used a spreadsheet they'd been given for the 2015 to correctly option everything. They thought the car would come in sometime late August, with a build of early July. Really looking forward to it!

which dealership did you go to? I just called the mini dealers in my area and they don't accept orders for 2015 CM.

We went to Mini of Greenville (http://www.centurymini.com/). They had just received everything from Mini a day or so before we went up there. We spec'd ours out using both the 2014 configurator and cross-referenced with a spreadsheet from Mini to get everything done. At this point we don't have a firm price on all of the options, should receive something soon.

I'm pretty sure they're available to order. We just received our 2015 spec sheet with pricing so that we could confirm everything. With that being said we were told that they won't start building the 2015 until July and that we could look for a delivery of late August-early September.
Thanks in advance.

From what I can gather it's still xenon with some type of LED running lights. Here's an Autoweek article that details some of the changes pretty well:

The reason I ask is that I have been reading conflicting articles regarding the LED headlights. Some articles, such as the one below states that the 2015 countryman will be getting the LED headlights.

Looking further down in the main body of the article it states:
"Another new addition are the LED fog lights with parking and daytime driving lights in LED – available as an optional extra for the first time (standard for Cooper S and John Cooper Works models). They provide an intense, bright white light with a much higher level of energy efficiency than conventional headlamps. The structure of their light sources in full LED technology also helps make the front view of the new MINI Countryman striking and instantly recognizable."
I can see where the confusion comes from though. Our dealer pulled up an email attachment from Mini which listed all of the changes between the 2014 and 2015 models. I really don't think the full LED headlights are available. On our final spec list it shows the car as having xenon lights with daytime running lights. We ordered a Countryman S with the JCW Exterior package.

Copple,
Thank you so much for clearing that up. I talk to another dealer today and they seem to think the car will start production in July. Just wondering, what does the JCW Exterior package add, body kit and racing strips? We were looking into the JCW interior package because we like the black gauges. There are rumors that all 2015 Countryman S will come with black gauges, can you confirm that one or the other?

The JCW exterior package adds the body kit, xenon lights, white lights, a no cost sport suspension, and some nicer wheels. Honestly the main reason we went with the package was because my wife really liked the upgraded wheels and the body kit. For $3,200ish it's a lot of money so depends more on what's important to you. Her current car has the JCW kit and it does make the car a bit more unique, and if wheels are important to you then it could be worthwhile. Lots of aftermarket wheels available as well, which can be less expensive than the factory ones or silly expensive. You can play with the configuration on the Mini website to get a visual, it's still showing the 2014 model but will give you a good representation.
The black gauges are standard on the 2015's. My understanding is that the JCW interior package is only available with the manual transmission, it's a cool look though.
