P0141 CEL Code?

I have googled this code (http://www.obd-codes.com/p0141) and understand there is a problem with the lower O2 sensor in regards to the time to switch to measuring O2 levels. I have an Akrapovic DP and was using two spacers, but without the spacers I was getting P0420 code. I have sinced changed to one spacer and still get the P0141 code, but not the P0420 code

Anyone else get this code? If so, how did you fix?
Is the code because of the spacer?
Is the code because I damaged the sensor during removal and install?

I got the same two codes when I added the Akrapovic DP. I added the Akrapovic Delete R to address the P0420 code upon install, but I did have to replace the 02 sensor to get rid of the P0141. During install I guess I damaged the 02 sensor. Nice part is that I was able to get it covered under warranty. With the Delete R, I get a code every few weeks but it does clear a few miles later.

BTW the spacers will not work. I tried 1, then 2 no luck. If you search you will find many people that tried them with no luck.

bump.

so now I have 3 codes- P0420, P0141, and P0136. Two of them are sensor malfunctions and the 420 is emission related.

I have the same codes. I put in a Catless Downpipe. Did you fix them in anyway? Well at least the O2 codes?

You probably need a new O2 sensor. They get damaged easily when taken in and out.

Those codes are common on a catless DP. I tried spacers and that did not work. I replaced the O2 sensor and that did not work.

I just ignore it and move on.

I have the exact same codes with the addition of P013E (and a few others but that's due to a solenoid in the engine... Kowalski is a little sick)

SO, the thing that is wrong with my car is the 02 sensor heater core. I just had it replaced from the dealer under warrantee but popped back up a few thousand miles later. Usually my codes for the DP would just be airflow, and the spacers fix that, and I just haven't had a chance to bring the car back in yet.
