Drivetrain R60 JCW exhaust is here!
Sure... but the intermediate pipe welds on to the stock pipe at a point where it leaves one stock silencer and another silencer that is a little less restrictive... I don't see how you would gain that much sound from doing just the intermediate pipe. I think it makes more sense just to cut out the 2 silencers and weld in a pipe to connect it all together (even thought I put on the intermediate pipe and cut out the silencers... I think the pipes are very close to each other in diameter)
Check out this post on my blog... towards the bottom are some pictures of the pipes (stock and after we cut out the silencers)

JCW Exhaust Differences?
Is there a difference between the "John Cooper Works Sport Exhaust" part number 18 10 2 181 273 and the Sewell one everyone is talking about in this thread?

The 18102181273 was discontinued as a part number. The development was put on hold and the system never came to be until recently when the JCW R60 was due to release. What we have is the real deal!
Well the R60 JCW will have more power, which you can get with a simple ECU tune on the S model... and it will HOPEFULLY have a heavier duty clutch, the sport suspension option, the aero kit, and some visual accents.
Basically because I have a tune (along with a custom exhaust, intake etc) and the sport suspension, and the aero kit... My car should be faster than the stock JCW and look the same (relatively) for less money (expected) than the JCW... So that is something to consider, the stock JCW route, or mod an S and not wait
If it were me I would probably try and mod a JCW, but I just couldn't wait that long for it to come out.
Hope this helps!

, i will eventually have the tune and exhaust done, i thought the jcw would also have a cai.
Scarlette has her new pipes!! Thoughts:
1 it's definitely throatier at lower revs. On cold start ups the exhaust is noticeably louder.
2 there is a drone in sixth at around 70 mph.
3 sport button causes WAY more burbling and popping.
It took over 100 miles to break in and sound aggressive. I never turn my radio on outside the freeway.

Back on topic....
Thanks to you all (y'all) I am taking the plunge...I ordered the JCW exhaust kit last week and I am scheduled for an install tomorrow 10/31...BUT it appears that Sandy (storm) may put a dent on that plan and delay the delivery of the parts. I hope they are not delayed. We'll see.
I am worried about the possibility of drone effect (droning) to have peace of mind I went with a Dealer install for many reasons. got a discount too, but I am looking for warranty support in the likely event of any droning, etc.
thoughts? Should I be worried.
Thanks.

Due up or 30k service thinking of getting the jcw exhaust while its in for service. Couple ?s
1. Any increase in power or MPG I am stock 2wd
2. Is it going to sound much louder I don't haves after market intake
3. How much should installation run?
Mojosan you said no sound diff and came back and said you like it. Is it louder now?
I drive 120 miles a day so my break in period should be fairly quick
Thanks
