The NM and others of it's sort suck hot engine bay air... not cold air. DoS pulls air from outside the engine bay.

I've been thinking about making my own intake, all I need is a filter, 90* elbow, hose clamps and a way to mount the MAF........

How does the DoS intake not suck in water if its raining out or does the hood seal that box up it sucks air from?

I'll be ordering the VIP CAI soon, looking forward to a better sound and hopefully a bit of HP improvement?

I live in Savannah Georgia, my friend. Look up rainfall. The DoS sucks air from the space behind the firewall. Rain is not a problem, even the torrential down pours we get.

1bigpea , don't expect a big HP gain. Just not happening from a CAI. Before you order, look at the DoS.

Agreed, look for a nice swoosh sound.... No additional HP. Just not there.
Looking for a real great sound....Install a Milltek sport exhaust.
Prior to any tuning. 6,7,8 + HP....looking forward to my install soon....http://www.millteksport.com

OK perfect, will look into that now...I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a CAI soon.

Thanks.

Just checked out the DoS website and I'm not seeing anything for the R60?

Clint from DoS emailed me back today and said there is currently no CAI for the R60 as of yet. He said they're working on it but the going is slow.

So...I'm wondering if I should wait or go with the VIP, I'm torn.
