Missing Lower Engine Cover Bracket

Changed the oil a few months ago, and noticed there wasn't a lower engine cover on my 2015 Roadster S. I see a bracket on the right front, but not one on the left. Just bought a new stock lower tray, and it didn't come with any fasteners. Looked at Splash Shields for 2015 Mini Cooper | Mini Parts Direct and couldn't find where they list the left bracket needed to attach the lower cover. Could anyone help me with this?

Right side in place:

Left side missing:

New Lower Cover:

Lower Cover Parts Diagram:

From the looks of the diagram, and the lower cover, I would need 12 of part #3 and part #4 to secure it? Counted the holes around the outside of the cover, but do I need more? How many of each?
Rocker Panel Molding Trim Insert Nut 7147311312 (No description)
Fender Liner Bolt 07149126886 (No description)

For #5, it shows different lengths in their description for the parts for holes in the middle of the cover. Is there another bracket I need to attach them through the cover to hold it in place? Would I need one of each It states they all fit my application? Looks like the first one on the list is the clip, but picture is the same as the retainers. How many of the following would I need?
Under Cover Clip 51757163899 (Under cover, clip)
Fender Liner Retainer 07147201307 (Fender & shields. Fender liner,retainer. Type 1. Type 2. 18.4mm)
Under Cover Retainer 7147306224 (Type 2. Type 1. 20mm. Under cover,nut)

Thank you in advance.

Your 2015 Roadster is a 2nd gen Mini. That lower cover is for a 3rd gen Mini. Its not going to fit.

On the 2015, there is no left side lower cover, and only the small lower cover on the right side. If you want a full under tray, then you need to upgrade to the GP2 tray:

I appreciate your reply and information. Not that I don't believe you, but Interesting that both ebay and Mini Parts Direct states it fits my R59. Ebay said it would fit from the number I copied off Mini Parts Direct in the link listed above, same number on Mini Parts Direct.

.

That's great, because really I wanted the upgraded cover in the first place. Is there anything else that does not come with this cover, to mount this on my R59? Any modifications, removal of existing parts, or add any parts, to use this GP2 Cover? Looks like more parts are needed to secure this cover that what it states conmes with the GP2 Cover, like more of the speed screws. It only states 2 come with it, the rest are washers and clips. Looks like 8 attachment points from the pictures on ECS.

So I called ECS just now, and they state the GP2 Kit only comes with the needed fasteners to install this, from the original cover, using the old parts. I don't have a current cover, and I don't have any hardware, so the guy talked to will have someone update their website with all fasteners needed to install this pan as if someone didn't have one at all. Nice!

@njareka
Any additional thoughts this? I am still waiting for the call from ESC about the additional hardware I will need.

Ideally, the needed hardware not included in the ECS kit are already on the car. If you want to ignore what is on the car, or something is missing, here is everything needed to mount up the GP2 belly pan:

- (1) GP2 Belly Pan 51757330566
- (8) Quick Screws 07147177492
- (8) Washers 51717134410
- (4) C-Clip Nuts 07146981767
- (4) Frame Clips 51717195796

Much appreciated. I hope this helps someone else looking for better lower cover protection.

Yeah, the GP2 belly pan can provide additional protection. Note, it will also give you better aerodynamics, which is why it was included on the GP2. Improves air flow under the car, and helps pull more air through the radiator and engine bay. I saw about +2 point increase in mpg on my R55 Clubman, too.

Last question. Will I need to remove that solo stock bracket in my picture above, before installing the GP2 Cover?

Thanks, sorry i was out of the office at meetings it has all the hardware in that one kit.

I have the same kit on my R58 JCW and was one of the first people to install in on my old R56 Cooper S when the GP2 came out. Its a great pan.

Talked about here and hardware and install.
