OL seems to have not caught up yet, so last night I called ASKMINI again. This time they told me the end of production date. Also, that the production actually started at 08:10 on February 18, 2013. I guess that the gal that I talked to yesterday morning that told me that it had started production didn't say when it started, just that it had started. I assumed that it started yesterday
Now, he told me last night that it will be finished with production on March 3, 2013, which will work about just about right in that it will get here to my dealer on or about March 23, probably. In time to pick it up by March 30th. My wife comes home from Russia on March 25th, so it will work out perfect, a trip to Chicago for the weekend to pick up Lil Guy ll. I, still haven't received my VIN yet, but I imagine that will come up pretty soon. Surprising how slow OL is on this, they still have it as set for production, no date set. That's all I have on my roadster now, yes it is getting exciting now.

Yes, call the 800ASKMINI they are up to date, or at least that's what I've found. Good luck and good sailing. At least the snow should be gone when we do get our guys.

It depends... The ships leave on a regular schedule, so it all depends on exactly when your car gets to the port and which ship it gets scheduled on. Go to the "how to track my car thread" here for all the details, including how to track the ship across the Atlantic, etc. You're East Coast, so at least you don't have to wait for the Panama Canal transit.

I think you should see it well before the middle of April, just in time for the snow to be gone and the nice top-down days to start!

It really depends on where your dealer is. East coast to Midwest and South, two to three weeks. West Coast, at least four weeks to maybe six weeks. We have it lucky in the East and Midwestt, for once.
With my last Mini it was two months to the day between order date and delivery. You figure. I take delivery on the Chicago area.

Hey all, Owners Lounge finally confirmed that my Lil Ragtop is now in production, they set for production, but ASKMINI told me two days ago that it had started production. I'm happy.

Hey all, got the VIN off Owners Lounge last night. All 17 numbers and letters. WMWS, then the rest. Shocked me and I was about to think OL was worthless.

My MA emailed today that production started on my r59 today. Ask Mini gave me an estimated completion of 3/5/2013.

mb2020, sounds great. Did they give you the VIN yet? I found mine on OL when I went to the maintenance scheduling where they back tracked you car on order. Try that if you don't have the VIN yet. There's hope for Owners Lounge yet.

I'd say about the same as when anticipating my Lil Ragtop: The last week of March. That's going to hit it pretty close.

Are they showing any activity to Body shop, Paint shop, ect?

You are a couple days behind me, but I am going to West Coast so you will have yours well before I get mine.

Not this week here in Iowa. We were promised 1" to 3" of the white stuff. What did we get? 10"+ in my driveway. Plus, the snow blower wouldn't start. Of course I haven't used it of over two years, that might be part of the problem. How's your r59 doing in the adverse weather? I'll be right with you next year.

Nope, but you can from ASKMINI the real person, that's who I've been talking too.

Yeah, Chicago got it pretty good as well. The R59, with the Conti DWS's does great...no problems.
