Sorry mine has to go

I love my JCW Roadster. Only 4000 miles and now I have to sell.

I'll be sad to see it go.

Here is my ad in the marketplace for those that might be interested.

Yeah, I know. I doubt there are more than 25 or 50 Roadsters with Recaro seats from the factory and even fewer JCWs. I think mine looks great and runs fantastic. Love that JCW rumble and incredible cornering & braking.

I always get head turns and lots of comments from people loving the car. I love the car and that's why I bought it. In my case, my heart was bigger than my brain. The Roadster just isn't practical for me where I live.

B&WCM...
Where do you live that makes the roadster impractical? Or, do you need more seats, space , etc?

I live in a remote area of Colorado at 8000 feet in the mountains.

When I purchased the car, I talked myself into the fact that I could share my wife's Escape during the winter. But we have had issues with her car having troubles and we realized how bad it is for us to be up here with only one operating vehicle.

We have fairly steep snow packed roads and the Roadster just doesn't have the ground clearance to get around in the winter. I have had it garaged since November. I also miss my 4 wheel drive diesel pickup.

The Roadster is a blast in the summer, and I hate to lose all the money I am going to lose on the sell, but it isn't practical in my situation. If I lived in a city with paved roads, the Roadster would work great all year round.

Sounds like you really have tough winter conditions, more difficult than those we face in the Northeast...hope so because I might buy a roadster tomorrow as my daily driver and I live in central Massachusetts. You also appear to love the roadster...
Too bad.... All the best to you..

could be that BMW is pushing the roadster as there have been few convertibles and even fewer S convertibles available at my dealership and when they have one it goes quickly. there are plenty of roadsters available and they don't sell as quickly.

The conventional 'vert is actually still doing better than I thought it would. Nice to see +3.5% after last month.
