How many miles on your roadster?

Some of you will be approaching your one year anniversary within the next few months...
How many miles have you driven? ( warranty= 4 years , 50 , 000 miles ?)
Everything going well ? Has anything happened requiring a trip to the dealer for service?

13,000 for me, including 3500 in just over a week to MINIs in the Ozarks in Arkansas. No issues other than the thermostat or temp sensor recall which was done at the regular service.

Almost 11,000 miles for me in slightly over 9 months. Only one problem: hit a chunk of something at night on the Interstate and damaged a tire and wheel, both of which were replaced by the tire/wheel hazard insurance I had the foresight to purchase when I got the car. Still loving it, but not driving with the top down much during the winter.

Just turned 16,000KM's. Only had one issue (seal where windshield and convertible top meet started coming apart so it was replaced)

It's okay. I'm at 2400km (1500 miles) since June 2012.

9,000 miles and one unscheduled trip to the dealer for a transmission leak. Fixed with no issues. I am going to have them look at a speaker problem when I take it in for its regularly scheduled maintenance in a couple weeks. Love the car.

I took delivery of mine in May of '12 and have put on 13,998 miles on!

Two issues that were quickly and easily repaired...

First, there was oil wicking out of the sending unit wiring in the oil pan, which I was told was fairly common on early production models.

Then the temp sending unit was faulty causing the ECM to dump fuel causing a no start condition.

Both were covered by warranty and a loaner car was provided!

The service team at Mini of Madison (WI) is the best!

Well Peanut is my daily commuter I travel from Long Island to NYC 6 days a week. I would have loved a JCW but gas here is well over $4 a gallon for regular and considering I have a lead foot the gas in my justa is well worth it (for now after I retire next year major mods).

Small note on gas mileage normally my commute gets on average 31 mpg, during hurricane sandy gas was unavailable so I set cruise control to 60 same drive same route was between 42-44 mpg

Peanut is nicely equipted for a long drive night drives

-Reef blue ( my favorite)
-Auto transmission ( yes I know car screams for a standard but alas nyc driving is tiring)
-Cold weather pack ( guys at work tease me if its above 45 I'm still top down heated seats rock!)
-xenon lights ( mostly drive at night )
-Technology pack no nav ( have iPhone Siri maps are great and I know people say the HK stereo is
a rip off but again I'm highway 75+ top down and it's perfectly clear)
-manual top ( found it to be incredibly easy and a lot quicker than the power operated)

Added so far chrome pedals ( I like shinny things)
Custom head rest, boot shifter and ebrake leather from redline goods to match Black jack side scuttles, rear view mirror and center/door arm rests.

Next up custom black jack stripes.

Like most MINI's we are a work in progress

Thanks, Noreen...
Sounds cool... Send a pic ..
I have an iPhone; maybe I should delete the Nav... Will the iPhone maps show on the roadster screen?

If your iPhone is jail broken there are threads in the tech forum for display out if not when in iPod setting Siri will give you turn by turn directions over radio. Me personally I would not pay $750 for nav and pay for updates. But hey each his own, most people wouldn't pay extra grand for reef blue.

I had a navigation system in my Prius.

One big comment about navigation system vs. cell phone:

When you are in an area with no cell coverage that is when you wish you had a built in navigation system.

I don't have the navigation system in my roadster and haven't seen the Mini's system, but boy I miss the Prius's Nav and blue tooth.

By the way blue tooth in the roadster stinks..............

In the 2013 model MINI took out voice commands and I sound to people on the other end of the line like I'm in a tin can, doesn't matter top up or down..

It spent its early life going round the Nuremberg in camouflage

BMW then gave it a very long rest, it's just found it's new home

I'm currently blowing away those cobwebs
