A Couple Of Things Done

Today I got the factory hood insulation installed. Happy about this, as it should really help protect the paint. More on this, including part numbers here:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...er-hood-5.html Before installing the insulation, you could barely put your and on the outside of the hood...it got really hot

I also installed 12mm spacers. this brings the wheels out for a real nice flush stance. No rubbing, driving all over Chicagoland today Now I just need to get my NM Alpha springs installed and the stance we be greatly improved

If you look closely, you can see the air/cooling duct for the brakes...love the details

Nice! What about racing stripes? Although it does look super clean without them.

BlueToy, I endorse your choice to go stripeless. The dealer kept asking me, and I said NO NO NO stripes! I just like the look better. Just a matter of preference.

I struggled with that while placing my order...still on the fence about it. It is so clean without them. Maybe when I get bored with the look

Still a very cool idea...I need to photoshop that and take a look.

When I was at my dealer ordering my coupe they had a JCW coupe with Toffee stripes. I personally did not like it at all but here is a picture so you dont have to use photoshop.

Steven,

Would you mind posting, or PMing, the details on your spacers? Watching the wife drive our new Roadster home last night I think the tires could use the push outward. Not sure why but I don't remember my last Cooper S looking like that....

No problem, here you go: Ordered from

You will also need to order longer wheel bolts. I use Turner Motorsports for those. Order the bolt length specced to the spacers. Hope this helps.

So far nothing on the top. It has been treated with something from the factory that makes it bead water tremendously. As long as it's doing that, I won't use anything on the canvas. I still am doing some research to find what is best. I'll let you know if I get any good info. on the subject.
