Bill

Those black line HL and TL look really good on the pepper white.

Here is what they look like on lighting blue.

A picnic tablecloth. The cats have never jumped up there but in the rare happenstance that one did, I want some insurance against stray claws.

Actually, after it's freshly detailed (like today ) I put a full car cover over the whole MINI, and the tablecloth on top of that.

Gil... I have cat issues, too... Have you used that cloth during the sumner.... It gets very hot in my garage... My wife is worried that a plastic might actually melt...

mb... We are on the same schedule... Just turned over 1000 miles.... For the past ten years , two Bimmers , averaged less than 12000 miles per year... I will break that tendency in spades.... This car is meant to be driven, in good weather, top down!!!

Yes, I am loving it! First of next month we are going on a 3,000 mile trip to Seattle and down the Oregon coast! 7 MINIs going. Should be a great trip.

Hey guys, just turned over 860 miles today. We don't know yet, but maybe taking him on our North Carolina vacation in July. We haven't made up our minds yet. If we could find a Mini event in the area, that would make our minds up fast. Still raining today. At least the snow stopped.

I don't know if you have noticed or feel the same way I do, but the R59 with the top down is a totally different car to drive than with the top up! In fact, I would say I like it ok with the top up, but I love it when I have the top down. Anyone else have the same feelings?

Oh yeah, totally. Top down is a completely different experience - almost like diff between VHS and Blu-ray or between mono and 6.1 Dolby surround sound. Once you get the top down roadster bug, there's no going back!

Same here with the R52 Convertible, totally different feel.

Yep, every drop top I've ever owned, and that's quite a few, had a different feel with the top down.
