Drivers side window wind noise and water leak

Has anyone experienced excessive wind noise from the drivers side window and a bit of leaking water when driving?

I'm hearing both of these things in my coupe when driving. It's been narrowed down to the rear part of the window along the seal.

I've been to the dealership and no one seems to be able to fix it. The water has improved but the wind nose has gotten marginally better.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Sounds like it needs adjusted on the window side, you can adjust the window from the gear mount inside on the regulator a hair. Should not whistle or leak. Re-seat the door gasket also and make sure it matches the other side in location.

Good luck.

I've been to the dealership multiple times for the issue and they can't seem to fix it. I can easily slide a sheet of paper between the window and the seal on the top rear corner of the window. It's becoming a bit of a pain really...

I'm not sure if I'm being picky but more so to see if this is something that a) is normal b) can be resolved by something the dealership is not willing to do.

My Mini went to 2 different Mini Shops because of wind noise from the drivers window. One dealership brushed off the noise because it happens when your going over 60 MPH. More around 75-80 mph. Was told that the speed limit was 55 and in some area's 65 mph
Took my car to a second shop who said they couldn't duplicate the noise but did give me a tip. They said once you get into the car roll down the window some then roll it back up. My noise went away almost 97%. I'm happy with 97%.

Windows are not suppose to leak. If the dealer can't fix it, gently tell them that they need to bring someone in who can.

Mine is very tight with absolutely no noise and no leak and I am "extremely" picky. I would never tolerate this. It is for sure an adjustment the dealer doesn't know how to do and they should ask for technical assistance from the manufacturer.

I've been pushing and pushing. I just booked an appointment at a different dealership for next week and we'll see how that goes. They want to keep the car for a couple of days. This all seems like a bit much for a fairly simple problem...

Lets say its better for a week.......

Here in town, it would be two weeks because the Mini dealer would send the car to the Auto Nation regional body shop among the Buick ,Chevy,Toyota, BMW and other dealer brands of the group.

I have a few cosmetic nit picks I am waiting at the first service next July. I know it will take so long because it is what it took at delivery time.

Furthermore, the body shop is located just behind the Mini dealership......go figure.

If they tell you it's normal they're boneheads, stay away. If they can't fix it then stay even farther away.

I don't know if this helps but maybe OP can call mini corporate? I've seen threads like this for other brands where that helps.

Resetting the regulators doesn't cost anything and is worth a shot. Hop in, power on, roll one window down all the way and continue to hold the button down for 10 seconds. Then roll the window all the way up, and again without releasing the button, continue to hold it up for 10 seconds. Repeat on the other window. Sometimes the regulators get confused on what the full up position is and have to be reset.

+1 on trying the reset, but the window sounds like it need adjusted from the regulator mount and adjustment. Last but not least a new door seal or realign the old one ( peals out , line up and reattach.

Good luck.

Looking to doing this. Got my car back from body shop today(woman smashed my door last week) and the window is not all the way up. Like 1/4" to the top, the drivers side is perfect. I did the up down buttn thing but I thing the window was installed a bit off. I guess I'm having to open up the door to adjust the window. The body shop is great at body work but mechanically they don't specialize in every car.
