Windshield wiper blade szes

Don't know why finding this information is so hard--and why it's not in the owner's manual.

Seems half the places that sell windshield wiper blades don't even filter for Coupe models, and the ones that do seem to want to give the lengths for the base Cooper, not the Coupe.

What's the correct length for driver and passenger blade length for the Coupe?

US Coupe and Roadster have 20" drivers side and 21" passenger. Beware though, I just bought Bosch Icon and can't get them to fit the arm. The Bosch are designed for the arms where the end is bent into a hook. The arms on my 2012 Roadster are totally different. Still working out what to do.

I believe that they are only available at the dealer. They are the "aero" blade.

MINI will replace the wipers once per year for free during the initial 3-year maintenance window.

After that ECS sells them for around $43.

I'm out of the maintenance window. I'll have to look at other options, as the Icons definitely don't fit.

You can replace the whole wiper arm to the older model. Not sure what this would cost but then you could get any wiper blade you wanted.

I actually contacted Bosch via Facebook to ask which ones would fit my Coupe. They responded the "OE" model (for the Icon), not the "A" or "B". I think I want to give them a try. Finger crossed......

Makes sense. I got an A and a B. I'll look for the OE ones.

Is there a difference between the SWF blades and the Mini oem blades, other than price? The SWF is a bit more money.

Is one better than the other? It's for my 2013 Coupe S

Nope , made from the same company , the MINI ones made by Valeo went down in price. The SWF under Valeo brand went up in price a bit. Same blades.

Thanks

Just got my set last week, put them on yesterday. Interesting design now, the rubber protrudes out of the back of the blade too.

Thanks for the order.

You are talking about the rubber wind blade part ?

I think so, yes. On the new ones the "back" of the blade is very obviously the same rubber as the windshield side of the blade, similar lighter grey colour and soft. On the old blades the "back" seemed to be darker and more rigid. I'm sure there's no functional difference, it just looked different. I still have the old ones (I always keep the last set in case I damage one of the new ones), I'll take a pic when I get home.

Yea, new ones have a more soft aero blade and matches the blade rubber, yea think it was a redesign. Know what you mean now. The back aero blade acts as a foil to keep the wiper on the windshield at speeds.
