The plastic fender flares...........

Any clue how to remove stains on these porous plastic parts?

I have all the best detailing products on the market but they don't remove gas drop stains from filling on this plastic fender flare.

Perhaps Isopropyl?

Gas itself is a solvent, so you may be fighting a loosing battle.

Get Carbon Fiber

Replace those plastic covers with Carbon Fiber.

Ugh I have this same issue. My driver's side rear plastic piece is just covered in little stains. It's absolutely awful.

I finally tried paint thinner (not lacquer thinner) with good results. It also remove road grim better than wax without damaging the painted surfaces.

Hey, there's a thought. Did you happen to snap before and after pics by chance?

It seems to be a nice product. From the videos I saw I am confused if it is a cleaner or a coating.

I have used chemical guys VRP with no issue.

But when filling up with gas always tilt the nozzle up right after you fill and the gas will not drip out. No matter what you buy, it tried them all , gas will take off any product ( even the so called shoe polish kiwi stuff mod) , unless the arches are painted then you get a little etching over time.

thanks

I use it, and it's mainly an oil based coating. But it comes with a little spray bottle of cleaner, and a brush supposedly to clean car wax off the plastic. I've never used the cleaner. I used it on my 2007 car, not so much the 2014 yet (maybe once). A little goes a long way. I apply it with little makeup sponges.
