Has anyone had any trouble removing the front bumper off a non-s? I have an R56 "justa" (I assume it's the exact same front bumper) and even though I've removed all the fasteners the bumper is loose but will not come all the way off.
It seems to be catching on something somewhere...
So I don't even have a DRL option in my menus (I think DRLs are mandatory in canada; they're always on), I can't expect a full halo ring to light up from these then?

Yea in Canada the DRL are always on , like cerenkov said you will have to program it out with a NCS expert and change the country code to US , or something like that.
Didn't even know something like that existed. Real interesting stuff; looks like I can finally get the car to unlock itself after I pull out the key. Thanks guys
Just an update on my LED DRL installs i had done by the dealership, my LED's are no longer working at all. No error codes but DRLs never come on with car or by fog lamp switch. Having dealership look at this sat.
Curious to see if they will be covered under warranty since i bought them from a MINI dealership in CA but had them installed by my dealership. I have a feeling my control box may have died or is fried like some of the earlier installs i've seen. i'll post an update after my visit to the dealership
basically the mounting came loose on the control module box and it in turn got loose and disconnected one of the wires. they fixed the wire and remounted the module in a much more secure way and all was covered under warranty, no questions asked since they did the install
I know this is an old thread but I have a 2013 JCW with xenons. As you know, with DRLs turned on, the xenons come on and thus they behave as the DRL. I don't like to have my headlights on all the time so i have DRLs turned off currently. So what happens if install these? How do the DRLs come on when I have the DRLs turned off as I don't want my headlights on and acting as DRLs.
No dumb questions, when you have this installed you have to have the DRL for the headlight turned off and not in auto position. Then they work just as advertised. Of course after install. If you switch them to auto DRL then they will come on with the headlights come on and have that half moon upper.

You are welcome, the DRL on those taps into the position lights (instruction included and if you want them on with the position lights) or any 12v constant turn on ( want them on with engine or power turn on ) , everything else is plug and play.
This version:
On with the postions lights / side markers / parking lights ( One click up on the stock ).
On you can just have them on when you turn yu car on, tap into a 12v constant power on. Plenty of extra wire.
First off, no question is a dumb question! But unfortunately you cannot program the car to have just the LED DRL's running without the headlights on at the same time. I can call the hotline tomorrow to double check on that though. If there are any other questions we can assist with, we'd be glad to help.
I plan to have my DRLs off as I don't want my headlights to be on and act as the DRL. It's my understanding that DRLs in the fogs will still come on with the main DRL in the off position??

With the MINI DRLs wired as per the instructions the whole ring is only on when the headlights are off. That includes the headlights being used as DRLs from the car settings. If they are on, you only get the upper eyebrow. To get the whole ring, headlights off AND DRLs off in the menus.
- Key-on engine- running, a bright halo of LED illumination acts as a Daytime Running Light (DRL) for an attractive look and added safety.
- In the parking light position, the light switches from a halo to a projector half moon of light to mark your corners.
- For fog or other low visibility driving, a half moon of projected light and a semicircle halo combine to let you see, and be seen.
Found several threads that indicate DRL setting must be OFF for the full HALO to illuminate. Have turned off/on/off my DRL setting several times, still only get the "eyebrow" or full fog, no halo. I have a 2012 S Countryman ALL4. Anybody else figure this out? Thanks.
