Buying Tires

Does everyone replace their tires only through the Mini Dealer? I believe the manual suggests this because of the tire sensors etc... Does anyone have a shop they recommend? Thanks

I used Big O tires here locally. No problems there. Even Costco knows about the tire sensors these days...

OH HOLY CRIPIES NO!!! Never ever ever buy ANYTHING from your dealer that you can get third party unless you just enjoy flushing your money away. Research the vendors and find yourself a good local garage that knows Minis.

Any modern tire shop can do the work... You don't have to visit the dealer.

Call Alex at TireRack. They will ship the tires to a shop near your home. They also negotiate preferred installation rates. Incredibly easy.

I second the Tire Rack suggestion. My contact is Luke. Been buying tires from them for years and having shipped to my home or installer. You can call and get a nearby reccommended installer, and I think can also look up on their website.
