With as long as the Coupé has been out, you'd think I'd have seen one by now but no. Saw it this morning on my way to work - a Justa in pepper white/black and looked nice, temp plates too so obviously brand new. I was honestly starting to think the first Coupé I would see on the road would be my own

 

this happened to me in my Roadster. The day before I picked mine up i passed one going to work. Thought i was gonna get to be special =[

 

I'm a bit envious of you. I've only seen one other Coupé out in the wild, and I had to fly from Canada to Genève just to see it in a parking lot! I have yet to see one in Canada, on the road, moving. In thirteen months, Broadspeed is the only Coupé in the region!

Other than Rallies that include them, I am waiting for that day when I can wave to a fellow Coupe driver in traffic!

I thought I was dreaming last week when I got a wave from an R53 hardtop coming towards me...
Then I realized I was driving my wife's R53!!

No one waves to a Coupe....

I did (from my R56). The (obviously new) owner of the R58 coming the other way didn't. We're a dying breed I think...

 

I had two firsts today. After owning my R58 for almost ten months I saw my first R58 out in the wild! I was going up the hill about to turn into the Fry's Electronics parking lot. I see a Mini coming down the hill, and I think, "That sure looks like mine!" I could only see the front of the car. As I turned left into the lot (they were stopped) I looked at the car and it was an R58, virtually identical to mine. Base, white silver, black top, no stripes. I noticed the driver with a BIG SMILE, and I gave a wave. I still have not seen a R59.

I went downtown to Little Italy to pick up some food. On the way home on the freeway I got a thumbs up from a driver AND their passenger. It wasn't a Mini though.

 

Pretty sure the guy you saw (if it wasn't you I saw) works over on Point Loma. I saw him one morning on my drive to work down the CA-163, merging onto I-8, I waved, but I think he was still new to Mini, as he gave me a confused look. There's a few of us "Coupe'sters" around SD these days...

I've seen a Coupe like yours in Rancho Bernardo one day, but have seen a total of at least 9 different Coupes in SD on the road or at the SCMM monthly breakfast. You ought to come by the one scheduled for the 5th of October...

 

I have 1 of 2 Coupes on Maui. The other is a Justa Coupe in Pepper White/Black. Surprisingly, there is an abundance of Minis here, but no Mini dealership.

 

I've seen 2 in Prescott, AZ, an area of about 80k people. It's a rare day I don't see a Mini. The other day there were 3 of us driving one after the other, and one was a Roadster.

 

That definitely wasn't me. I usually don't have reason to go north of 54. Just checked my odometer and I haven't even broken 3300 miles. I guess I don't get out much!

I've been interested in doing that, but I normally have to work. I have that weekend off, but I will be in NorCal. Someday...

 

Huh. I wonder if that was you I saw a few weeks ago on the I-5? I was heading down to the NOLF in Imperial Beach and remember seeing a pepper white Coupe Justa...can't remember if it was heading down, or coming back...
