Is anyone else having problems with very squeaky brakes when they are backing up? It's very embarassing. I've complained to the dealer twice, and once to head office without any resolve. Is it just me?

 

I have a R58 JCW also and at times I get it when backing up. There's more

out there to be concerned about than that.

 

It's normal with JCW brakes because of the pad hardness. My '09 JCW and my '12 JCW Coupe both squeal in reverse.

Yup, mines too. I took it into the dealer the other day and the guy told me, they need to wear out a little ??!!! Or I had a small rock ?!?! Really it only does it when I backup. But I gave up. I been taking it in for other biger issues lol.

 

Ours would squeak but only after a few auto-x events. We would take it back to the dealer and they would swap in new pads/rotors. It would be fine until we would do a few more auto-x events. Eventually we swapped to EBC yellowstuff pads and haven't had any more squeaking and they handle heat better than the stock pads. YMMV

 

The JCW I had did the brake squealing like you mentioned too, but only when backing up. Unfortunately, it actually did RBI until I traded it off on Lil Raggi. Sorry!
