Mystery Color of Coupe in Ad + owner questions

Greetings!

I currently have an '04 Indi Blue/White MCS which I'm sadly going to say goodbye to after tons of motoring bliss and...

in its place...

I will be ordering a new JCW Coupe! (as soon as I'm able to order one--my MA just informed me that the 2013 JCW is scheduled for production in Sept.!!

I've been dreaming about this car since the concept appeared--and when it did, I kept saying please, please MINI DON'T make that car!--because then I'll have to buy it!

Anyway, on to the questions...

Is the color of the non-chili red MINI Coupe WS or PW in this advert?

At first I thought it was White Silver, but now...I'm thinking it's Pepper White partly because that would mean they are showcasing the two standard colors.

Currently my build looks something like this...

PW (if that is the body color is in that advert because I LOVE that color combo and it will grant me $500 to use elsewhere.) *crosses fingers
Blk sport stripes
Blk halogen lights, White turn signals
Blk Challenge Spoke wheels--if it's still offered
sport suspension
JCW shift
JCW leather steering wheel---anyone else have this? I held an example at the dealership and it felt fantastic in my hands, but it wasn't attached to a car.
Tech pkg-no Nav---still debating that choice
leatherette---or possibly the Punch leather?...still debating

So, something like this...

Although I'm not planning on adding the chrome mirror caps, but WOW!

Thanks in advance for reading my long winded post!

I appreciate any opinions/advice!

I can't wait!!!

Appears to be PW to me. But then again, the WS can look that white in sunlight.

Can't wait to order mine either... going to be another year fir me, probably and I'm already struggling with the color choice. Leaning toward a WS/CR JCW.

white silver

Having owned both colors - I believe it's a white silver coupe.

I owned a PW/PW cooper S, and now a WS/WS coupe, and it is more silvery in the video. The pepper white has a Miracle Whip tone. It's also not metallic.

It seems more "shiny" in the night scenes, hence my WS call.

i have PW with Black top combo JCW and it doesn't look like the car in the video is PW.
my car never looked that bright or "white" in daylight.
PW doesn't look white at all whether its bright or dark in my opinion.
after seeing the video, i wish i did consider the white silver lol

PS
looking at my "gallery" pics, maybe it PW does look very "white".
however, it real life, they never look white at all (at least from way i see it).

I would agree it's white silver. Our PW is never that bright looking.

On the seats if you want lumbar you need more than the leatherette. We went with the lounge leather and find them worth every penny

Thanks for all of the help. I think I need another trip to the dealer to see the colors in person.

Those cameras can be tricky and I really love both colors, but I guess I really want whichever color is the brightest and for whatever reason I was thinking the WS was more muted.

The other video I've watched too many times has what I believe to be a PW and it also includes great shots of the MINI flying through S turns in Virginia! (I apologize for the second video post, but I'm obsessed)

and whichever color it happens to be it looks amazing on video!

powerbook76 your car looks just like what I had in mind (which is stunning by the way ) but, hopefully the dealership visit will sort my color choice out since you, CR, Kurt, and Lil Maky all agree on the color.

PS

CR&PW&JB---me too! I can almost smell the crisp cool air in that video

Lil Maky--- thanks for the seat comment. Good to know about the lumbar support only showing up with leather! I just wish they lowered the price a bit since we don't have those back seats.

Good to know someone else is chomping at the bit as hard as I am to order a Coupe ! And having similar issues in selecting a color.

Having had a Pepper White Cooper for 6 years and having washed it about 250 times, I can say that Pepper White is more muted than the White Silver. Pepper White almost has an eggshell color to it... like very light beige.

The White Silver is stunning in person. It's very light gray/silver in the shade but is looks almost pure white in direct sunlight.

Only drawback to me is the metallic paint which I do not prefer (if you can tell by my user name ).

Halldor and CR, im sure whatever choice you guys make it'll be the right choice!
that second video you posted actually tipped me over into buying JCW over S Coupe.
i went back and forth between getting the S or JCW many times (even ordered the S then switched to JCW RIGHT before it went into production... even had the color change from WS to PW lol). i think i've watched that video literally over 100 times with sounds all the way UP! i've had such hard time deciding between colors (and JCW vs S) that i even posted stuff about it here. (great help from all too)

if there is one thing i wish though is they make plain white or pearl white-like colors in JCW instead of pepper white or white silver.
from what i have seen on the road, white silver looks very silver-like in person, and pepper white looks (as mentioned above by CR) very beige.

Yeah, PB76... I'be also struggled with that decision too... S or JCW. Have put that one past me and decided on the JCW. Of course, with months to wait, I could open that debate again. Haha

Darn MINI... all these options they give me makes my head explode.

the color is definitely White-Silver.....I had to watch the video a couple of times, but it is not quite 'milky' enough to be a Pepper White

Hi Guys,

New in the forum. I am placing an order soon and I am in the same situation deciding which color for a JCW. I am looking at the white silver red roof combo and eclipse grey red roof combo. Would anyone be kind enough to post a non-ad pic of the white silver red roof combo?

Many thanks in advance!

Haha... we could firm our own club!

There's some pics if a WS/CR JCW Coupe in the R58 Forum... the stickied thread at the top of the page. In that thread, page 47, IIRC.

Thanks CR & James!

CR, when I went to page 47 and saw that Red/Black Coupe it made me consider that combination too. It's hot! :-)

Seriously! Another color combo I've been considering.

Then there's all the decisions over options and accessories. I must have built 40 Coupes so far.
