Strut brace

Does anybody know if the R55/56 JCW strut brace fits the Coupe?

Look at all his mods, doesn't look like he's afraid of spending money. I don't have one but I've not read much good about them.

R56 based platforms are pretty stiff where as the r53 platform cars had issues with flexing and mushrooming of the strut towers. The mini offered jcw strutbar is made of thin gauge aluminium. The only 2 I would see in benefit in would be omp and vorshlag.

However I did buy it purely for aesthetics I might add. So I didn't care one way or the other.

I have the JCW strut brace on my 2012s and it clearly makes a difference.

Don't pay attention to "2009R56JCW" as he is all hype and no substance. He runs his mouth a lot and claims that he had some ridiculously fast MINI, but when you question him on it, he can't give you any details or pictures since it's too "top secret" for the average MINI driver!

Thankfully it's easy to pick out these fakers, as they usually do all the talking but don't really say much.

Nothing fake about my build.Ask anyone who has seen the car or driven it.

Contracts for development and testing are contracts that are binding and that is the reason data and pics were never posted.

If you knew anything about tuning houses most are really just marketing a product that they paid a outside source for development and testing.

Never said my project was too topseceret but did say it was beyond most mini owners budgets at this time.

I will answer any question that is submitted about my build but not disclose any confidental information and furthermore I will be happy to help anyone in making their mini more powerful and will always point them in the right direction when it comes their project and build goals.

So, according to my dealer, the JCW strut brace will fit the coupe S. It's not listed in the parts catalog, but apparently there is a bulletin about his

Yes it will fit, I installed one last month. Yes it is eye candy and I like that too. Plus in my mind there was a improvement. I don't know if the stop watch will confirm that, but I am having a blast driving the S Coupe.

Nice and beefy. How much and where can you order it?

Hmm, I wonder if it will fit with the DOS CAI that's installed on my MINI.

So, the strut brace is in. If you drive any fast corners with a bump in them, you'll feel the difference. Otherwise don't bother.

Hmm is right - good point. Even in general, I wonder if it restricts any amount of airflow and is really worth putting in or not, since seems like low benefit.

Got the Z7 bar on my JCW coupe. Ran the dragon with and without. It does make difference. I road race an FFR Roadster so I can tell whether a mod makes a difference.

It looks like the GTT strut brace:

Definitely one of the better looking braces as far as functionality goes. I have the DOS CAI as well which is the one reason I haven't ordered it since I'm not sure if it would fit either.
