R58 Trouble Free Mileage On Your Coupe
That's not good. I haven't heard of too many problems with this vehicle thus far. A few things here and there but nothing seemingly major. Hopefully yours is something minor and can be repaired quickly. It would be great if you could check back and let us know what they find.
Thanks for the update and sorry for the hassle. Good luck.

A little update on mine. I finally got around to sending it off to the dealer. Gotta love free roadside assistance, although it is kinda dumb that they sent a tow truck from the dealers location rather than from near my location--it took them 5 hours to get to my house to pick it up. Although the check engine light was on, they could not get it to repeat the issue where the cylinders were misfiring. They went ahead and replaced the coolant sensor and did an oil change since it was there and told me they were sending it back to me. An hour later I guess it finally happened and they called back saying an injector on cylinder 2 was bad. They replaced it and it was still misfiring, then one of the senior guys suggested it might be a bad pin on the wiring harness. Thats what they think it is now, and they say I should have it back on Tuesday. So, yay

Well I'm finally going to start racking up some miles on my Coupe. I'm selling my GTO because I need a more practical car. I have 1 grandchild now and another will be here in March. Two Mini's and a GTO just in not practical to haul my grandkids around in. There flat is just not enough room. So I'm selling the GTO and bought a 2007 Trailblazer with 33,000 miles. I picked it up for a song from a couple in a divorce sale. The vehicle is tight. No leaks anywhere. The maintenance has been done and the vehicle still has a bumper to bumper warranty for 48K or until October 2013 with zero deductible. The GTO has 126K on it and the clutch is still original but getting tired and the brakes have 40K on them so there getting ready to be done as well. The Goat was fun. 400 HP, 6 speed and rear wheel drive. Yea!!. Much different than the Mini's but real fun as well.
So without further ado I'm now at 13,020 miles and still with zero defects. We'll see how the car holds up now that it's basically my daily driver.
1.5.13
Well it's official I am now a 3 car family. Sold the GTO today. It was tough seeing the car go away but it was a fun 126,000 miles I put on the car. I needed more practicality and now it's done. The GTO went to a good home. The person that bought it is going to go through it head to toe and restore it. He then will add to his stable of collector cars and it will get no more than 1000 miles per year on sunny dry days only. He liked the car because the motor is solid and completely stock. So long GTO.

Scratch me off this list, took the car in for that Oil Wick issue mentioned in another thread. Probably wont get the car till Tuesday or Wednesday, parts are back ordered.....looks like I'm stuck with a Justa for a bit.
Definitely won't, car is running like a champ! 19k miles of daily driving.
I blame the people who are rushed to put these cars together.......poor folks =\.

I have the maintenance plan....but I have been tempted by the extended warranty. The drawback is if you ever do get a tune, chances are you will at some point void it very early on.
Just for grins and giggles I was at my local Mini dealership the other day and got a quote for the Maintenance and Full warranty. YIKES
Maintenance plan was $1750.00 and the best bumper to bumper extended warranty is $3900.00 offered by Mini and the aftermarket price for extended warranty is $3300.00.
Ouch. I answered my question. Sell the car when the factory warranty is up.

Turned the odometer over to 20K miles (in just 8 months) on my trip to Vegas a couple of weeks ago, not long after my first scheduled service. Naturally, on the return trip, I took a rock to the windshield that could not have come closer to the center if it was aimed there. The epoxy they use to fill it still leave internal surfaces that reflect light.
