of a Chili Red with Silver Top (my first Mini). Bought the showroom model since it was almost exactly what I was looking for, so it only had a few miles on it and I didnt have to wait 2 months. Got a fair deal on it and even talked them into a free mini suitcase.

Yeah its a bad pic but I just got it home after driving all day. I left the house this morning at 3 am in order to be at the dealer when they opened (its a 5 hour drive to my second nearest dealer). Gotta say it was worth it, and gave me a nice long chance to get to know her.

Congrats! I bought my first R53 off the lot just because I wasn't in the frame of mind to order, wait 4-6 months (in 2003, that was not unusual) and then find out if my trade was worth trading, etc. And at that time, while there was a dealer 1 hour from my house, I had to go 3+ hours away to find one that had something near what I wanted on the lot. Worth the drive, eh?

Eager for specs/options and some better photos when time permits. Enjoy!

Pix or it didn't happen lol. I bought mine off the lot too. The whole deal (test drives, selection, trade-in, paperwork, etc.) took me about 4 hours and I was on my way home. Sweet.
