I'm talking the one that is silver that says John Cooper Works on the end of it. 4 photos in post 49. It's the spoiler on the white car, top 2 photos in post 49. Not the red car.

I see the one you are talking about. I think that one looks too "nice" compared to the race version on post 49. I suppose I won't be able to get my hands on that one so I would entertain that one but it's not my first choice.

It isn't hard to get one like that Pat, but mounting it could be a problem. The rear hatch on the endurance car is a single carbon fiber hatch that unclips and is removed by one guy in one piece. Those 2 black teardrop black things are the release latches and he wing does not have to move because once released it pull right out.

The one going on sale is the red one that mounts on top of the factory spoiler.

I was afraid of that. But it look's awesome compared to the JCW that is apparently going to be sold. I'm not sure that I would go for that or not. I suppose I need to see more pictures of it before I can make a decision.

My friend in Germany is getting his JCW fixed spoiler installed in Friday. The part number he gave me is 51622218750.

Please get pics for us.

I'm really interested to see how it looks out the back window. Are you supposed to disable the auto-raise once you have that installed? I wonder how aggressive it would look up and with that wing on.

As soon as he posts them, I'll put them here. I'll ask him to take one from inside the cockpit looking rearward.

I'll ask him about the process of the installation, maybe with photos.

$799 plus paint, yikes! I know I shouldn't be surprised when it comes to OEM parts. I'd love to have this spoiler but it's gonna be awhile before I shell out that kind of dough.

Yea I need to see a few more pictures and would also like to know how difficult it is to put back to stock configuration.

Also how the variation changes actual downforce compared to the stock configuration.

I gave the part number to my dealer's parts guy, but he couldn't find it in the system.

Hmm, interesting. It appears ECS tuning has the part listed. Whether it's in stock there or not is another question. I might call them to find out.

I'm curious, and perhaps one of you guys knows. Does the spoiler mount to the existing factory spoiler top or is the factory auto spoiler completely removed? From the pics it almost looks like the JCW spoiler is a one piece drop in replacement mounting to the existing raising brackets (without the ability to raise of course).

I would bet this is the case and you'll have to get it programmed at the dealer not to raise up and down.

This is in Germany, so prices wouldn't really translate. I'll ask about installation and more photos.
