I get coolant temp from OBDII displayed on my Garmin GPS. I would much perfer oil temp, it is a much better indicator of the engine being at normal operating temp. Just a simple oil temp gauge- is that to much to ask.

Just ordered a Bluetooth obd2 reader that allows access to all info via Android app. Reader $35 app $4.95, better on the budget. I'll have it in a few days.

OB2 reader works well with android app. More info than I know what to do with. Coolant temperature and oil temperature were my main concerns. Can check on my phone now with Torque Pro app.

FWIW for those with MINI Connected... You can get engine temp via the "Driving Excitement" app.

That said, I'm not sure if the number displayed is for coolant or oil temp.

Have the ob2 in and torque app installed on smartphone-anyone know how to arrange the dial icons? I added temp. dial and it overlayed it on the middle of the 4 standard guages?
