Has anyone else gotten this email?

I got an email from Mini USA yesterday with the above title, and it basically said to click on the link, and I could select preferences (radio stations, interior light settings, door lock settings, etc) that would then be pre-programmed for me at the dealership before I take delivery next month.

Thing is, there was no link to click on. ¿ ?

I forwarded the email to my dealership asking about it, but they haven't replied. Has anyone else used this apparently useful email?

 

No...I never receive an email like that from MINI before.

 

That's pretty cool. I"m in the Week 16 group too, and I haven't gotten that email.

I got it. I'm in week 13. There are two links:

The first one takes you to "LET'S MOTOR" intro page. Then LAUNCH OWNER PRESETS opens a popup where you set your preferences for the MINI presets and send them to your dealer.

 

That's cool! Sounds like somthing the dealer sent, or has the ability to send via MINIUSA. I had to figure all that stuff out on my own! It will be nice to have it set up the way you want upon pickup.

 

That's a bit weird. That would have to be a dealer thing I would think. Would USAMINI really spend the time to program everyone's computer including radio stations?

 

It appears they would.

 

When you fill it out it gets sent to your dealer. It looks like comes from MINIUSA <motorers@askminiusa.com>.

There isn't much to it: radio stations, lock doors at 10 mph+, unlock all doors or just driver door with one click of fob, leave the lights on after you stop (for x time), and daytime driving lights.

I hope there is more to program in the MINI than that.
