Hey there everyone. AskMini told me today that the build was finished and the car was released to Sales and on it's way to holding to get on a ship. I'd love to know what ship we all get on so if anyone finds out, please give me a holler.

Mine was supposed to be completed by end of day today....Nightfire red MC, white top & bonnet stripes, checkered side mirrors. I'm in Texas, so I'll have to wait longer than you guys. The guy I talked to at ASK-MINI today estimated another 6 weeks before I take delivery.....sure hope he's overestimating!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad somebody started a week 18 thread....at least we can commiserate together!

 

I just found out from my MA today that my Mini Cooper is being built right now. When you get your VIN, that means that production has started. The "born on date" is when they estimate production to be finished.

So, I am Week 18 after all. And, I just found out from 866-ASK-MINI that my MINI's estimated "born on" date is now May 4! In and out of production in only 5 days? That was fast. Now, on to the ship!

Mine should roll off the line on the 3rd! Can't wait to tell everyone that I'm the father of a beautiful baby boy...think I'll name him Rudie. Anyone picked out a name for yours yet?

Your MA or askmini should be able to tell you the VIN, mine also appeared in the OL info screen three days after my car entered production.

 

Mine's now in the body shop, says AskMini. Where is that in the build process?

I received my VIN # a couple days ago, but my MA says production is not going to be started until the last week of May

 

You got me wondering why I had a VIN #, so I went and checked the owners lounge again... .... "awaiting transport"!!!! I was expecting to wait another three weeks before it started production!

Now excitement is setting in! I hope this isn't a mistake, that would be a cruel joke.

I'm guessing it will be the Titus, click on the Voyage number to get more info on the dates and what ports it stops in.

Just click the link above and select New England and USA, then the port Southhampton and your closest port.

Okay, Monday I called the 866 number and my car is finished and awaiting transport. The CSR said it will take 4-5 weeks to get to the dealer then a week or less for prep. Second week of June and Ill be driving with the top down!

Hey Ygblat- I'm booked on Titus too! I can't find her in the Southhampton harbor, I might imagine Titus sailed already?

Ask-Mini said it's 28 days to reach California.... I think they might be including VDC time? I didn't inquire for more details....

 

Hurray... My Mini was finished April 29, got my VIN# and am loaded on Titus, headed for CA then to CO.

Not sure when Titus actually leaves from port?

I must say, I didn't think ordering a car could be so much fun

 

I confirmed Titus is at Bremerhaven, Germany... (as of May 4th) Titus will leave from Germany on May 5th for Belgium. Leaves Belgium on May 7th for Southampton...

Titus then arrives and departs Southampton on May 8th. (with our 3 Mini's)

Thereafter arrives in good ol' CA (Port Hueneme) on May 28th... I might expect Ygblat and I may see our Mini's in Northern CA sometime the week of June 5th. (I guess depends on how long it takes in VDC)...

I'm good with that...

Hey Guys. Figured I join in with my second post. Ordered mine last Friday,April 27th(first time ordering a new car ). I called Ask Mini last night and was told( automated )that it was in the body shop as of yesterday(5/3) with a completion date of today, 05-04-2007. I was hoping for the middle of June, but maybe with a little luck,it will be here sooner. One thing for sure. May is going to be one long month.
