Yup, we are confirmed 2 of the 363 on Titus. Nice! Yes, we have similarly outfitted MCS's. Very nice. Not much else one could fit in there!

Hey Max, you have the Tuscan beige, just curious, when you go to the owners lounge and see all the option you have, does that show up for you or does it just say sports seats? Thanks for checking.

 

Not much about the interior.... It does show the English Oak and the Anthracite. No reference to the Tuscan Biege...

If I hit "view source" (depending on whether one is using explorer or firefox) I can see a little more detail- on the text-based html source I can see the Cream Colorline that comes with the Tuscan Beige. But nothing about the "Gravity Leather" choice or Color as Tuscan Beige....

I'm guessing yours doesn't tell you Lounge Leather or Color choice as black? What "colorline" did you chose?

 

Mine says the same thing as yours, the color line but not the leather seats. Thanks for checking it out!

a little confused here... i ordered my Mini here in San Diego on 4/29... when i called MiniUSA they told me that i was on 26th week production... but i'm noticing many of you ordered around the same time or before me.. how come mines seems much farther behind? did MiniUSA mean that it would be ready by the 26th week?

 

Talk to the dealer that you ordered from and see if they gave you a production slot in May because it sounds like you have a June production date, meaning a July delivery. If this is indeed the case, call around and see if other dealers have unused May slots and reorder with them. The average West Coast turnaround time, assuming you receive a production slot in the same month that you ordered in, is 8 weeks, give or take.

 

Your situation does sound confusing. You ordered about 2-3 weeks after me, but are being slotted in a production week 8 weeks after mine. (?) So, either they gave you vague info or incorrect info, or production is slowing down... Are you sure Ask-mini told you "Production Week 26" or was it the "estimated delivery date" to your dealer?

Seems if you called Ask-Mini, then you were given a seven digit "Production Number"??? When you ordered at the dealer, did they enter the order on the computer in front of you?

Anyways, if you actually have a slot in Production Week 26, (late june) your mini wont arrive until late July, early August. The production week is the actual week where they'll make the Mini in Oxford, England... It then takes 4-6 weeks to ship then prepare your mini prior to dealer pickup. (varies on where you live, how busy the VDC is, shipping details, etc)

I'd ask both the Dealer and Ask-Mini for clearer details on when they expect you could take delivery at the dealer. They should be able to estimate the actual delivery date to within a week or so of accuracy...

 

thanks for the advice.. i called AskMINI, and they told me now i have a Week 23 production (June 3)... still a little farther than i hoped.. i was hoping that it would be before July... but it looks like it might be here mid-July :( strangely my dealer told me that sales in April were low...

do you guys think that there's a chance that my week production number can change within time, if not all the May slots are not taken?

Not at all! As per California law, the deposit is non-binding and fully refundable at all times and is just a statement of good faith on your behalf (you didn't sign anything yet, I hope).

Besides, your car hasn't started production yet, so there is nothing stopping the dealer from either allowing another pre-order customer to take that slot or just ordering a car for their showroom. Have no fear, shop around, and inform your current dealer of your dissatisfaction with the assigned production date and intent to shop elsewhere. Maybe that will incentivize them to move you up the production ladder.

Nearly two weeks since our Minis have finished production....

On a completely unrelated note, I've had The Heartbreakers' "The Waiting" playing on repeat on my iPod for the last few days. That Tom Petty fellow sure seems to know what he's talking about

 

Since my car is on TITUS, I guess I qualify for this thread. It's looking like the car will be ready for me before I'm able to pick it up

I'm hoping mine is ready on one of my days off, I'm doing pretty good with the wait so far, but if I'm working when I know it's at the dealership waiting to be picked up, I may just POP!

 

Errands took me to BMW SF today and while there, I snuck a peek into the Mini showroom and what do you know, they have an absolutely gorgeous LB/B MCS parked front and center. It was spec'd to the gills but cosmetically, it was almost identical to mine. A sudden influx of free time, combined with the imminent approach of the Titus, is sure making the days feel long

 

Did you go with LB/B Yan? Ohh, I'm gonna be jealous, I like that color a lot, I was almost got it!
