My 4 year old daughter slammed my driver's side door so hard the mirror (reflective part only) popped off

Buy some seat belt holders

They all know not to slam now and to move the seat belt buckle that always ends up sideways between seat and door out of the way.Well... now I see theres an outie dent (for lack of a better term) strait up from back of the door handle and an inch down from the window , not huge but becouse its on the curve it shows.
Surfblue says:
First thing I did was put a pair of those seat belt holders that attach through the headrest vertical bars. Belt end goes right up where it's easy to grab and no problem with the belt jamming down low (and also it can scratch up the door trim piece. Money well spent.

My dad does that; it drives me nuts. Take off from a stop light, and he'll be in third gear before he gets across the intersection. I cringe every time I hear the poor engine lug as he tries to accelerate some four cylinder car (not mine) up a hill from 1,000 rpm in fourth gear. He gets frustrated and quickly downshifts.... to third.

surfblue, does the seat belt holder make the belt fit better? I mean across the chest instead of up against the neck?

I have a friend that I meet for dinner/movie type stuff once or twice a month. She doesn't have a car (lucky her!). I used to offer her rides home, so that she wouldn't have to take the bus or walk, but she slams my car door so ferociously that now I usually take alternate forms of transportation to go meet her.

Perhaps someone should make an instructional video on how to shut a car door properly. We can put it on youtube and send a link to these people.
