R56 What Would've Been Your Second Choice In Color/Options?
I went with Oxygen Blue but could have gone with Chili Red...both are classic colors. In the end the Cooper-excusivity of OB won out. If I had chosen Chili Red I'd have been all over the colorline interior and the red leather/black cloth seats. Would have been a win either way, but judging from my level of anticipation/excitement/neurosis (car's not here yet) I definitely made the right choice for me!!!!!
I was originally going to go with BRG/White. The green was the same as my previous car, so I eventually decided on a change and went with Lightning Blue/White. If I had known the wood steering wheel was going to be such a problem, I would have gone with Piano Black and Chrome line interior instead of Wood trim. If I get the wood wheel retrofitted, I will be very happy, however. I also think if I had gone with Piano Black, I would have ordered the anthracite headliner.
If I'd done the BRG it would have been similar, but with white and probably the Oak. It would have been the "Eddie Bauer Edition" of the Mini.
Sparkling Silver with Black lounge leather was also considered, but the interior would have been way too hot in the Florida sun. Eek!

I've ordered (and its built!) a BRG/BLK. Second choice would have been Sparkling Silver/BLK. Saw one on the lot with Leather Lounge Redwood and that looked really sweet. My lady was insistent on the Racing Green though, so thats the way it rolled...
I got my LaserB/W, with white wheels, on Monday, totally freaking love it. For me and my wife, better than we imagined.
Second choices: PW/B, BRG/B.

I contemplated Sparkling Silver with black, then was quite taken by the Pepper White with black (I considered overdoing checkerboard
), and finally decided on the British Racing Green with white. I wanted something a little more classic-looking, if you would. I have seen several MINIs around here, but never a BRG; usually, they're red, yellow or blue.
Nothing wrong with red, yellow or blue, of course. Those look fantastic, and I did consider a MY as well - it's just that I wanted the paint to be subdued, and then use the stripes and roof as a visual pop of sorts.
The beige leather interior with the sunroof against the dark exterior paint really makes the cabin look spacious, too.

If Puple Haze had been available for a JustaCooper in 2006, my NAM name would now be CR&PH&JB.
My fiancee loved that purple MCSC she saw in the showroom. Had to break her heart and tell her I wasn't spending that kind of money on her.
Me, I never thought of another color other than CR.
When we decided to add a MCSC, sereral colors were on the radar screen... HO, PH, CB... but now I'm very happy that the JB one was the one that worked out for us.

Pepper white was my first choice all along but at the last second decided on sparkling silver with no regrets. Chili Pepper is very nice but it seems everbody has the color (for good reason). The silver's seem to be the cleanest and black but black is difficult to maintain IMO. You won't go wrong because its a mini in the end.
My first choice was the Lightning Blue with Pepper White as my second choice. Ultimately, I did not get either as I was swept away by the Mellow Yellow. Was so much better in person than any swatch, picture or description could convey. I have had the car since April, and I can honestly say that the color has gotten better and better, in my eyes. No regrets whatsoever!
PW/PW, JCW tuning kit & suspension, black sport stripes on bonnet, roof, & boot. Audio package and aftermarket wheels/tires.
I'm liking the BRG/W too much to trade but my wife's CR/B is looking old and sleepy...

Actually bought my third choice
1) BRG, but the wife's fairly new minivan was green and I hate having two vehicles the same color
2) CR, but the wife put her foot down (ticket magnet...)
3) HB, Im happy with the choice, but I wish I had got the black roof instead of white. I like the black trim look better, but the summer heat here in Vegas would have been brutal on a black roof so...
Compromises all around.

WTF is that?
I had an extremely difficult time choosing between CR/B, Laser Blue/White and PW/B. It was really really difficult.
BUT, if MINI offered a true BRG, I would've been all over that with a white roof and the tuscan beige interior.

No other choice for me--I've wanted a red MINI since I saw Minis racing in the late 60's.
Well, maybe a CR/CR.
Actually, I don't see many CR in my area. There's an MC in my subdivision, and I see one or two at the Houston MINI Club meetings, but I'm about 60 miles from Houston, anyway.

I thought I wanted a red and white one. I love red cars. I realized that a lot of other people like red MINIs and I wanted one that was a little different. The other half wanted Purple Haze, but since it wasn't available, he'd settle for a shade of blue or pepper white. What did we end up with? British Racing Green/White with bonnet and boot stripes.
I really think I would've been happy with ANY color. They all look really good!

I originally wanted Jet Black but it's was not an option so AB it was! I went with the AB/W. Since JB is not an option anymore, which would always be my 1st choice, The new second over the AB/W I currently own would be a PS/B.
It's been fun seeing MSFITOY's MINI always changing shoes/clothes. His PS/B MINI is like a pair of khaki pants...looks good with everything.
