My windows are tinted - a Christmas present from my boyfriend. I think they look great. It blends very well with the black around the windows (of course, I also have a black roof and black bonnet stripes too). The windows aren't tinted in the pics in my gallery, though. It's been snowing and cold since the windows were tinted so my poor Mini is covered in dirt right now. It's supposed to get a little warmer in the next few days so I'll try to get some pics of the tinted windows for you.

 

How do you get this done? I have a new 07 S Laser Blue and don't see a Laser Blue Owners Club.

I'm pretty sure (although check for yourself because I may be wrong....) that there is a Laser Blue Owners Club in the General Mini Talk forum.

 

I had a REALLY weird experience today. I was driving down the highway going to the tint store to get Blue Belle's windows done and a MINI got on to the highway in front of me. That in itself was not weird until I noticed that it was an O2 BLUE MINI. So I pulled up along side of the other MINI to wave to the lady driving and realized that her car looked just like mine. After 5 months of thinking that Blue Belle was unique to this one horse town, I found that she has a twin. Perhaps they were separated at birth....

 

Hee hee. So instead of waving, did you give her a dirty look and ride off really fast?

Similarly, I met a friend of mine at a local Border's Bookstore with our small dogs (they allow dogs inside the store) and was telling her all about my O2Blue MINI that I was getting, and how unique the color was, only one on the dealer lot, etc. We each go to our cars to leave, and as I'm looking down at my poodle, something tells me to look up, and what do I see in the parking lot....an O2Blue Mini!!!!! Bleh!

I've seen two Oxygen Blue MINIs...another one is here in Arlington and is often parked up at the University parking lot. Then, yesterday I was looking out my office window(11 stories up) and down on the street below I see a MINI. "Electric Blue," I thought. Then it slowly dawned on me that it wasn't...it was Oxygen Blue!!!!! Yes, I freaked.

btw, folks who fret and worry over the slightly different profile of R56 need to chill and stop picking nits. From 11 stories up the car looks amazing!!!!

 

I found out today that Nightfire Red is available for the Clubman but Oxygen Blue is not!! This means O2B will be even more of a rare a color for MINIs, especially since it's not a cabrio color either!!!!! In other shocking news, one of our MAs said the color will be discontinued this year but I think he may have just been speculating, so I'm not placing any stock in that comment until I get credible verification.

 

Hmmm.....Sounds like you've been Clubman shopping??? Personally, I think the choices of Clubman colors are a bit weird. Why in the world do they not offer MY on the Clubman S and why in the world don't they offer O2 Blue on the JustaClubman? I might actually consider buying one next year if they ever get the colors straightened out.

 

No...no Clubbie for me, but a couple of friends are getting one. That and I just tend to keep up with all things MINI.

I hereby proclaim that Oxygen Blue to be the most rare MINI color for '07-'08!! We might have had a contest with NFR, but with the cabrio and now the Clubman (and being Cooper only)....we definitely take the lead.

I just got my first MINI and its oxygen blue! It's a 2007 MC with the premium, warm weather, and sports package with the upgraded suspension. It also has the upgraded body kit and with the duel sun roof. It has white stripes and a white top. So far it has been a lot of fun to drive. I get excited every time I see it outside and realize that it's mine! I'll try to get pictures up soon.

I have had a scary feeling this could be the last year for OB, which was why I was dead set on getting one! It's like Black-Eyed Purple, you just don't see very many. Which is strange because it is so close to one of the original Mini colors, island blue. And it's a non-metalic.

mommashine, I was thinking of you yesterday. I saw an Oxygen Blue table lamp at Pier 1. It was $75 but still, it was tempting!!!

 

i saw an oxy blue at the dealership in pleasanton, CA, but it was spoken for :(

 

My daughter was up at school (college) the other day in my MINI (I know, I must be crazy!! She drives/owns my '03 IB/W Cooper and it was in the shop) and she saw another OB Cooper in the parking lot!! She actually got a pic on her phone of the two MINIs even though they were parked on different rows. I confess I've never seen two OBs in the same place!!
