MCS with Pure Silver body and roof, Crown Spoke 17" wheels, Cloth seats, Anthracite headliner, Piano Black, Nav.

I didn't want a black roof because of its solar collector aspects, even though it would look great. I'm debating some decal options:

A) Dark Silver 14" Racing Stripe with black border accents (http://www.mightystripes.com/Stripes.htm) over bonet, roof, and boot.

B) Kandinsky/Stella inspired roof and side graphics. I think this would be fun, but need to get more info on doing decals from my own art work. Probably best to do such a graphic in Adobe Illustrator, but don't know if the shops can handle it.

C) Roof graphic from one of my photos. I have a closeup shot of oak leaves, but it wouldn't go well with PS. If I had gone for a BRG body...


Perhaps a tidepool shot, or beach pebbles, or sea foam...

I just called as MINI and found I am scheduled to be completed 3-30!!!!! to get production codes do you have to talk to a representative? Lets get a list of where everyones MINI is going!

hey i bought from Asseal Mini in Monrovia they told me they expect it to be on the lot mid to late may

not bad since it still has to travel the ocean and be processed in the VDC

im in irvine and was basically told 8 weeks. so im looking at late may. i too can wait.

Mine should finish production next week. I've been told that transit to California is about 4 weeks*, and then a week to get to the dealer -- if all goes well. I believe that puts me in the first week of May.

*From the Week 12 thread it looks like it can take less than four weeks, but would depend on how long it waited at the dock to be loaded on a ship.

Oh cool, I bought mine from Irvine too. My MA is Jessica. They're so much better than Brecht. It's an hour and a half drive from San Diego but they're worth the customer service. I ordered mine on Mar 16th and I'm scheduled for production on week 14 (scheduled completion date: April 7). I'm hoping for delivery around the first week of May. What about you?

 

Alright, Week 13 - let's start finishing some cars! ASK MINI just told me my car has gone from the paint shop to "finishing assembly." The next step is the quality check. I was in the paint shop on Friday and I've been scheduled for completion tomorrow. Anyone else getting good news?

 

According to the ASK-MINI automaton, mine is still stuck at the... Your MINI is in production with an estimated completion date of March 29th...

 

Have you talked to a person? They seem to always know more and they don't seem to mind questions. The automated said I was still in paint shop before the person said finishing assembly. At this point, I'll probably call again before they close today.

 

I haven't spoken to a person except to get the production week, I'll give them a call tomorrow if the status hasn't changed on the automated system by tonight. I'm 2 days behind you so it should get updated today.

 

You're more patient than I. I will call twice today.

 

we're up to 8. I call ask mini 3 or 4 times a day. just to be sure. beatrix, jessica is great. My MA is alex. I work right next to irvine so lets just say im in there.... alot. haha
