I might beg when I'm actually vested and actually HAVE my MINI, because at which point I will have NO SHAME since I'll have lost all of it the moment I see my shiny nightfire red (read: I will be flailing about and taking way too many pictures at odd angles to be able to have any claim on shame)

Driving a rental Ford Fusion the last few days felt like a tank. It's got some pick up though. And buttons can be overrated. It had too many, I prefer *****. Tweaky knobby.

 

Chains? I was only holding them! Honest, I don't anything with them!

Yah...some crazy old lady decided that she didn't like the front end of my car and decided to try and rip the front end off! It just got fixed and I'm back in the saddle again.

By the way...still have the bonnet stripes! Somehow they stayed! BUT, the plastic covers for the driving lights (the MINI ones) I got painted NFR....and will put them on the lights! Not sure yet if I'm going to paint the MINI letters in black yet? Whaddaya think?

I think so too. It'll accent the top and stripes. NFR covers would blend into the body color and the car would lose her face.

 

 

But now that I have them....I want to keep it solid.....I have a second pair of covers somewhere....and thinking of painting them a different color...maybe black...maybe stripey like Eddie Van Halen's guitars? Hahaha...now who's crazy!?

I know not of what you speak and can be of no help... when I get my mini I'll have to try and figure it out, but at that time I imagine any opinion I could give would be useless and banal

and that brings me to the fact that my mini is booked! on a ship hopefully this is truth and not a cruel joke, for now, I keep my fingers crossed and jig quietly

I actually had a very complex dream last night, the basics of it was that my mini arrived at my dealer but I didn't have the loan yet so I couldn't actually take it home and had to walk away from the dealer without even seeing it!

I'm also worried that s/he wont be getting on the ship, the ship sails today and the status hasn't changed from booked and received *frets*

this is too stressful

 

Just wait...stress is a storm cell that hits the ship as it crosses the ocean! YIKES...I shudder just from the memory! Yikes, and then there's the train, and the ox cart, and then the voyageurs that paddle it across the river, then there's the dreaded detailers! CRIPES!

 

jeesh! your car went through a storm before getting to the states dennis? and then went through the storm of an old lady? I am very sorry, and you may keep the chains, I think you need them more than I do

however, my mini missed the boat that sailed on the 9th and gets to wait until the 21st. hopefully it will work out for the best, but I want my mini now, plzkthx

 

have you figured out that truly obsessive tool where you can track the ship on a live map? I think it was really only useful from leaving port to entering the atlantic. I stared at that for most of a workday!

 

Ok...counting down my trip down south...and what happens? "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT"! Sheesh....no idea what it means yet...but it's going back to the shop just before we head out! Anyone have the CEL come on lately?
