R56 Run flat tires = no jack with the car?!?
My MA was perplexed that it didn't have one--he raided other tool sets--said there was no pattern that he could tell as to which cars had one and which did not. I did *hear* that there was a letter from on high that MINI had discontinued sending them after February 20, but mine was a January build.
The "launch" vehicles the dealerships recieved had full toolkits. The ones arriving now are missing the jack and lug wrench.
Yes, there was a bulletin from "up high" stating this is to be the case.
Some folks have mentioned getting jacks from their dealers simply by asking for one. Otherwise, I guess we'll have to find aftermarket jacks if we want to carry one.

Thanks for the link, I missed that one!
My jack was missing and the dealer went and found one in another car (without hesitating). Funny thing is that he looked in several cars (to get mine) and they were missing there as well! I probably shouldn't have pushed the issue as I have a hydrolic jack in my garage and this car doesn't have a spare tire on it so it's not like I'm going to change a tire on the side of the road. Wasn't thinking clearly at the dealer and wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything...
My MCC comes with a jack and a spare tire, and I can't think of another use for the jack besides installing the spare. At home I suppose I could use the jack for working on the car but I already have a regular floor jack which works much better.
Have any of you S owners actually used your MINI jack, and for what purpose?
