Thank you all. I can barely wait! Of course, once it gets here my work will begin in earnest. I'm going to install the JCW STB and the rear bumper rubber strip myself then have the stripes I want installed and have the windows tinted. Since this will be my first BRAND new car, I decided to get everything I wanted on it. I did kind of want the lounge leather but I don't see a big difference between it and the leatherette as far as comfort goes and my MA said that the leatherette has bigger bolsters anyway so... I'm just so excited! I've wanted a Mini since I spotted my first one back in 2000 or 2001.

 

What does the the JCW strut tower cost?

The JCW STB is $275 but they charge about $125 for installation. I looked and it's like 6 bolts. I think that with my mechanical history I can handle 6 bolts.

 

Thanks Dean. I can barely wait for him to arrive! My MA hinted that he might even make it by mid-April. That would be sweet since my birthday is the 9th of April. He would be like a REALLY expensive birthday present to myself.

I haven't received my order number (or whatever they call it) yet. My MA said 6 to 8 weeks is the norm so... my best WAG would be mid to late April. Hey, maybe I can make the Dragon!

Thanks! I'm still debating getting the leather in my head though... The voices keep telling me how soft the leather is and that future resale will be higher. *sigh*
