Curious about your photo... Strobe on boom from above? Then shopped out? I ask because of shadow vs. light source. Love to hear your camera settings. Small aperture, long exposure?

Great photo none-the-less

Did you remove your grill to dip it? I was thinking about dipping my head light rings. I'm just worried about the long term effect. And of I need to remove them during the process. My car is only 2 weeks old. .lol

It's easier to remove the grille to plastidip the grille trim. Mine has been dipped for over a year and it isn't peeling. The door handles are slightly peeling as they're constantly used.

Very few cars I've ever worked on come apart easier than the Mini. And the headlight rings are SUPER easy to remove, as are the grill pieces. If you are savvy in the garage, it will be a snap. If you look at the headlight rings and thing "I really can't trust myself removing those", stick to dealer services and don't mod it lol. But honestly, they're simple. And the plastidip is removable(have removed it before). So if you don't like the look or want it gone for some other reason, find an edge or make an edge and peel away.

new to me mello yellow R56 S

Seems a pretty rare combination. Factory aero kit with body color roof and JCW 18" wheels.

Some hot looking MINIs on this page.

Mike, it looks like you have the JCW Aero kit on your MINI but didn't opt for the side skirts. Haven't seen that very often. Threw me off for a second, is it a JCW kit or is it not.

It is the JCW rear aero bumper only. a la carte. I had to have the GP diffuser and the underbody panel stuff and the bumper is required, of course. Side skirt\sills will probably be next. Parts aren't so bad, but the paint blows up my wallet, er credit card.

Oh... got it, thought that front bumper was part of the aero kit too but I can't keep all the various bumpers for the second gens straight. Seems there have been several since 2007. Thanks... nice looking MINI !

It looks great with the rear JCW aero bumper and GP diffuser. Makes the JCW exhausts stand out. I would keep it that way and just add black rally lights.
