Yeah, its painted burgundy to match the roof stripes. The grill piece isnt dremelled out so its probably just the shadows of the openings in the grill making it look like like its striped.

I have a Minifini stainless steel grill painted the same color that I've been meaning to put in for a while. Maybe I'll have to try to stripe that one - its an interesting idea

I've owned this mcs with 6 speed for about a month. Just got the stripes put on yesterday! It's a blast to drive, glad i sold the C5

 

Just put the tag on Bloo. He seems to like it. Screw all those expensive brackets and hitch plate holders. Some bolts and two bent up t brackets from Lowes makes an awesome hidden mount withe no holes in the front of the bumper.

 

That's a sick looking Mini. Nice job. Love the stripes and rims.
