That's funny I saw a mini a while back parked at my dealer and it had the transformer logos like that but it was a white one I think.

Yes... I hated my chrome trim. The only bit that's left is the beltline, and that'll be gone soon. Plus I'm installing all the Alta parts this weekend. Assuming they shipped my downpie with my order because I'm NOT cutting my stock exhaust.

On that topic, does anyone have Alta single cat downpipe with their
Exhaust? How loud is it?

Thanks

Cutting is super easy and takes maybe 5 min.

My understanding is that if you have the downpipe exhaust combo you don't need to cut, and I want the option to go back to stock if I ever decide to. However I made that understanding totally uneducated. So I could be wrong.

You are correct, unless you go catless though the downpipe is not fund to result effective on a factory tune and you will have a code that can** drop you in to limp mode until you get your AP. Nothing aimed at what your doing but those $600 could go other places and do more for you.

It'll sound sweet once you get it on though.

Nice! I tried to do mine but I couldnt get them apart. I didn't want to take the bulbs out and bake them so I pretty much just gave up. Plus, the seal on one of them is all F'd up... Came from the factory like that. It has that rubber sealer all over the place like they put too much in then squeezed it together as hard as they could. It oozed (for lack of a better word) all over the housing.

Pull the bulbs out and the ballast, then bake them in the oven for 10-15 min at 250-300, they come apart easy. The squished silicone is normal to have. just gotta make sure you un do the metal clips and take your time. Use a vehicle trim tool to separate the housing little by little then they just come apart. I have done it on so many cars other than my own, all headlights are almost the same. Super easy do it!

The most time consuming part when i did these was prepping them(sanding) priming and painting them.

Looks good but I have to say I'm surprised you put driving lights on after doing the joey-mod....kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? - now if they made the hella black magic lights in a smaller size I'd say go for it.

Actually I usually run my webspokes, I am not a huge fan of the crown spokes but they will do for winter duty. Also they are plastidipped to cover up some of their blemishes so they have a pretty matte finish.

I like the color of the black plastidip... it matches the wheel wells exceptionally well. As for your wheels, I wish I has aftermarket or even JCW wheels. one day...

The lights have black housings, just white covers to keep them from getting stone chipped.

BTW, whats the purpose of the joey mod?

Ive been doing it to all my autos since my first.
I had no idea it was called a Joey mod until i came on here. I was like "who is this joey guy and what does he do?" lol

I love it . But if you're going to cover the lights, make it black. And it's time to put a diy black mesh grill cover for your FMIC, to hide the extra horses you're carrying to clean up the look even more.

Gotta trim up the grill and brake ducts... just haven't had time to pull the bumper again, will probably do it this weekend. Was planning on painting the covers also... i want to see if i can invert the colors completely on them.

While you've got it all apart have your FMIC coated with thermal dispersant. It will make it much less obvious AND increase the charge density by 1-1.5%! Definitely put mesh over it. 80mph bird strikes make a very expensive sound, LOL.
