Thanks! I was very pleased with the factory heat shield that runs along the underneath side above the entire exhaust system.

Hey Scott48!
I thought I recognize those hills in your pics. I live in El Dorado Hills on the other side of Folsom Lake and drive (as well as ride) out in that area on a regular basis. Your car looks great! I'm ready to drop mine just a bit, but want to retain as much as of the stock ride as possible. How do the Mach V springs ride and how much did your car drop? Please post pictures of your R56 here...-2nd-edit-cooper-s-009.jpg

Congrats on your new Tuning Kit! How come you left the badges off? If I had the JCW package like that, I would NEVER leave them off...

I don't understand why the badges are all that. Not that I would debadge my MINI, but the JCW badges are kinda...

... and I certainly do not mean to offend but...

... they're ugly as sin. I would have left them off too.

Keep in mind my 09 MCS is not a complete JCW Mini from the factory. I only added the JCW R56 Tuning Kit to my 09 MCS for a little added performance. I suppose I told the MINI Service Dept to NOT add the JCW Badges that came with the Tuning Kit [normally placed on front grille & rear hatch] for the same reason I did NOT order the 09 MCS with stripes. I want to maintain a low-profile, so to speak.

I put the front badge on but now am probably going to remove it and maybe the "COOPER S" on the boot along with the "S" side scuttles. I like the low-profile thought too.

i agree. i hate the S badging/ cannot wait to ditch these scuttles but new ones are waaaay too expensive for a piece of plastic! i just tried out the R56 badge idea..see post 4108 lol

I have the JCW Side Scuttles, which I love. Yeah...they are expensive...but I think they add a lot to the looks of the side profile. I almost went with checker scuttles, but the JCW ones look faster

Just thought I would post one more shot of my MINI. Took it about an hour ago at Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.

Thank you,
Sergei

Very nice, always great to see a MINI contrasted with the snow.

Since it is the R56 picture thread, here is a more recent one of my R56 in Golden, Colorado, some casual lapping.

Looking west coming out of the slow sweeper.

A good friend of mine and I got together one tight to talk MINI, and I thought I would get some shots of our MINIs. His is an 07 with some pretty sweet stuff. JCW tuning kit and factory nav just to name a few.

Both nice minis esp. the David meets Goliath pick haha. I'm really liking the neon on your white on. I'd definite do that (in green on my car)if I could find someone capable of doing it in my area, but the people i got to do the underglo on my 03 messed it up badly with to many mis-drills if you will. SO i've been reluctant ever since. But I again I like it through the grill and underneath!

Got to be honest Mach V Dan, I preferred the previous wheels to the current ones.
