It said on the Port Hueneme Sticky in the first gear forums that it's sometimes open saturdays if they have a high number of priority one cars. But that's beyond the point - either way our minis aren't getting there until monday :-\

 

VDC Countdown to dealer should begin on Monday. Here in the Northwest I predict 4-5 days at the VDC and a further 2-3 to here plus another 2 days at the dealer.

our babies reached Port Hueneme yesterday.

I'm expecting it to take about 8-9 more days for us to get our new rides.
(that's my guess at least)

Mini4ten, where are you/your dealer located?
I'm here near LA at south bay mini and I think it'll take 3-4 days at VDC and then an hour drive to my dealer. So I'm hoping to get it this weekend!!!

 

My MA just told me that the VDC in California has so many cars that it may take a bit longer to process them. I'm not sure how this will impact our acquisition of our MINI's.

My dealer is Crevier in Santa Ana.

The closer we are to delivery, the harder the wait is...:impatient

BTW have any of you had a change on the owner's lounge from "En Route" to "At VDC" yet?

I called MINI yesterday reasonably late and a customer service rep told me they stop tracking en route?? My MA has the latest info now. I emailed my MA and asked him to keep me posted when it left the VDC. Trucking cars to the Northwest take at least a couple of days.

 

My MA sent an email yesterday to let me know my mini was at Port.
I replied and asked how long it will be there since it's been 3 days already.

This was his response:

The port clears several thousand MINI, BMW, Rolls Royces and Motorcycles every month. So as soon as the vehicles are unloaded from the ships, they have to clear customs. Next, they are driven to the VPC, where they are systematically inspected and cleared for shipment to the dealers. This takes on average 7-10 days.

I had another mini on order 1 1/2 weeks before I ordered this one (long story) and the mini OL updated everything, including the VDC and arriving at the dealer. So I believe they are still continuing to update the OL's even after delivery to the port. At least they were 2 weeks ago.

My MA said to expect delivery early next week. Glad this week is half way over!

 

Ehhh... I guess I can live with getting it next week . Hopefully I'll still have a lot of my Spring Break left to drive my baby around!

 

Phone call from MA today said the car would be the dealership here in the Seattle area next Thursday.

I thought my baby would never get through customs!

 

haha, yeah! The Mini OL says my Mini is at the VDC too! Though the wait is longer than I anticipated early last month, it seems to be flying by anyway!

 

My MA called me about an hour ago...
MY BABY IS AT THE DEALER WAITING FOR ME!!!!!

Will probably pick it up tomorrow (if I can wait that long!)

My MA called and said my Mini will be at the dealer (SOuth Bay) saturday or sunday (hopefully the former)!!! But they have to put on my sport stripes first before I can take it home.

The OL said my mini was at the VDC this morning (not last night)..then I got the call this afternoon. weird!

ITS HERE! Went to dealership today and my car has arrived. I still cant pick it up yet because they have to check it over and wash it etc. Hopefully I can get it later today or tomorrow. I did walk around back and got to see it and even took a picture with my phone. I will post pics soon!
