R56 Lounge Redwood Red Leather
Maybe its my monitor, but while it definitely is more orange than red in real life, its not as orange as it is in that picture.
It's personally not my taste; I'd go with a different color combo, but I can see how some people are really going to like it.

I was it at the Chicago Auto Show and really like the color, enough that I have changed my color combo since then to get the redwood lounge. In real life (that is under spotlight in the show) is a little more orange and deeper in color. Really stunning in combination with Sparkling Sliver and a piano black interior. I didn't notice much of a clash with the side panel at all, but I think I was probably a little too excited to even noticed.

Man, I LOVE that color.
Ordered it with the anthracite headliner (A MUST HAVE with this interior) and a dark silver exterior.
I actually wanted to see a little MORE orange than the initial configurator pics (below) and I'm glad that's the case.
I guess it must have to do with my KTM motorcycle background. I'm now used to seeing an orange, black and silver combination together.

Saw it yesterday...a drive by sighting...but it was behind me at a light. I thought 'What is that red interior?' and then I figured it out.
I wouldn't call it red either BUT it is on the red side of orange. The OP is more orange (on MY monitor
than IRL).
While we're on the topic...or maybe a wee bit OT...the above MINI was Sparkling Silver which, IMO, is NOT really silver. It IS a gorgeous color but it is on the golden or champagne side. I think that's where the sparkling comes from. It's likely one that Dave photographed as I saw it here in Phoenix!
EDIT: THIS is the color I saw - thanks Dave!

Couple of comments!
I have a couple of comments about this interior.
1) It's REDWOOD not "red". If you look at a redwood tree, the color depicted by this interior is actually pretty accurate. At least in my opinion. I think that they meant Redwood as in Redwood tree, not Red Wood.
2) I sat in a new MINI yesterday in Nashville that had this interior and I have to say OH MY GOD!!! It's awesome! The leather is soooooo nice and the combo of the silver with this color is outstanding. I bet it would look excellent with a black car too!

The Redwood Leather I saw today was definitely more orange than red. It looked like it clashed against the Sparkling Silver it was in. A more red or more brown leather would've worked better, IMO. It's nice-n-classy, but I'm not a fan of the orange-ish color.
I finally got to see the redwood as well today, and I ended up being glad I stayed with my Gravity Tuscan beige spec. Someone told me over at Mini2, you either love it or hate it. I'm not sure I entirely agree with that, I didn't love it. I don't hate it either, but I'm glad I didn't choose to get it. I didn't find the leather that much softer than the standard leather, although the texture was nice (almost like a football's).
At any rate, has a definite orange cast... on my screen, the 1st post's picture seemed pretty accurate. I took my folks with me to see what will soon be my new arrival, and they agreed that it would appeal to some, but it also might be something one tires of after a while. I dunno... I guess I agree that it's "classy" which I think also denotes "timeless", but for my car I was looking for sporty instead. Which, I think, I got. My dealer actually talked me OUT of upgrading from the Tuscan to the Carbon Black Lounge Leather, as he thinks I'll really like the beige, and it will look great. I appreciated his integrity in doing so... it would have been easy to push me towards spending the extra money!

I've heard or Coral-Red, Rooster-Red, RedWood-lounge...
Were there any solid color, not 2-tone, in other than the RedWood-lounge in the R56/57/58/59 ??
