On the forums it appears that dark silver is the most common. What does everyone else think?

 

My vote is for either lightning blue or laser blue? Maybe Chili red?

 

Wasnt there a poll about this earlier.. and Chili Red ended up being top followed by Lightning Blue?

 

Probably Chili Red...but who cares? Drive what you like. In a group, Minis look like a bunch of hopped up Jelly Bellies.

 

HAH so true, just seems like the dark silver guys post the most is all, I didnt exactly feel like being in the majority :P

Bavarian Racing Green and British Racing Black are my two favorites. But a MINI no matter its color always looks great.

I am holding judgement on the Mr. Hanky Chocolate until I see it in person.

 

I choose DS over BRG. It was a tough choice and if I think about it too much I might have regrets. Of course if I had gotten BRG I would feel the same about DS. Choices are bad for me.

I asked that question of my MA a couple of weeks back (Rocky Mountain Region) and got this response:

I went back and forth between several, but came back to DS. I really like PW, but it's just a color for me. Besides, I wash cars only once every few months.

I started out thinking DS/DS, but decided to go DS/B with Piano Black, Black Lounge Leather and the Cream White color line, anthracite headliner. No chrome, either. All greyscale, which suits me, it's not too bright, not too dark. I thought of doing the same thing in AB, but with the red or blue color line, but it's like PW -- it's just not me.

 

Thow in factors such as roof color (3 choices), hood stripes (Present or not, plus style), wheel packages (several offered through MINI alone) and interior colors (material, color, style) it's pretty likley that you'll still have a pretty unique MINI... even in Dark Silver.

Yes Astro Black, or Chili, or even one of the blues, just anything but Dark Silver, in fact we should petition MINI to retire that colour .

 

WHAT!? Dont be jealous just because we can go more than a day with out us washing our cars and still have it look good.....haters....

 

Trust me, I am not hating. When I ordered my Dark Silver at the end of 02 the dealer told me it was the first one ordered, and they thought the colour would not last (unlike Red Velvet). For almost 2 years I was surrounded but Chili, Indi, and even Yellow, and I loved it. Now DS is everywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I do think it is the best colour, and if I were ordering a new, it's what I would go with. I am just try to hord it to myself .

yeah EB is certainly a very interesting color, I just think the dark silver matches my personality much better than any color. hence my sig...that word means Darkness in German

 

DS is the best.

I like subtle on the outside and sporty on the inside with the red colorline and checkered trim. AB looks great but DS/W should fair a bit better outside where I need to keep this car. White roof also allows me to change my mind in the future if I want to go for a wild graphic.

 

I always thought I would order my MCS in Chilli Red with a white roof and white bonnet stripes, I thought that for a couple of years. Then, when the MINI ads for the 2007 showed that killer Laser Blue I was hooked and changed my mind.

The day I was to order the car I spotted a Dark Silver MCS with a black roof and black bonnet stripes on my way to work. I was smitten ...and ordered mine just the same, but with chrome mirrors.

Truthfully, I could live with a bunch of the colors. I like the old Royal Gray and the Astro Black and think British Racing Green suits the MINI very well. But, the Dark Silver suits me best. I don't think there is a best color.

I hope I get to see mine someday. I'm going on 4 weeks without a production date yet.

 

Hey congrats on the colour, an excellent choice! Have you decided how want the grill to look? Black to match the roof, DS to match, well DS, or chrome to macth the mirror caps? So many choices.

 

It is funny, out of 6 cars, all were blue, one was black.. I only picked out the black one and this one. it was kinda weird.. hand me downs and old beaters that I picked up
