R56 the most ordered color?
Me too!
But in the end, it's a very individual choice, and imo Minis look good in every color. I saw an older guy driving an MCS the other day, and it was GOLD with a black top. I thought that was interesting, and I hadn't seen one in that combo before.
The creator :-)
That line came straight from my so called brain. It struck me when I saw a bunch of them gathering for a drive (Mini owners of America, San Francisco division) up in Windsor a while back. Minis in a bunch are much more fun than seeing one by itself.
Duster?
THIS is what you call "planning for easy maintenance" in the largest sense. Snow? Wuzzatt? Rain? HUH?
DS all the way! It wasnt too difficult of a choice for me. I have known for a couple years that mine would be DS/BLK. Ive always thought it was understated and not so "cute" as my friends like to say.
Chili Red ftw!
I chose a CR/W combo (after much deliberation between that and Laser Blue/W). Yes, it's been done a million times, but every time I see a CR Mini on the road it just makes me smile. It's a great color, a great red, and I can't wait to get in it and motor around in that classic color.
I'll go with CR/W when it comes time to order mine... I was considering the darker blue (can't remember the exact name) with white, but I kept coming back to the red. That, and the fact that I don't see very many CR MINIs around my area, said that I was following what *I* wanted, and not just what I thought would look best or be easiest to re-sell.
As a weekend car, I have a '79 Ferrari 308GT4 (also red), and we spend so much time on FChat talking about buying what *you* want - not what will be easiest to re-sell (red & tan, of course). Now that I have the opportunity to essentially build my own car and option it exactly to my liking, I'm going to make sure I practice what I preach by ordering options I want - nothing more, nothing less.

Been dreaming of a MINI for years, always thought I'd get BRG. But, when the time came we had a green minivan. Thought two green vehicles was weird so next choice was CR. But as others have pointed out, CR is everywhere and I wanted to at least TRY to be a little different, so I went HB.
As for the roof, I love the look of a black roof with black stripes, especially with a black grill. Problem is here in Sin City the sun is so intense a black roof would be murder. So I went white. C'est la vie. Still happy!

Surprising to me that SS wasn't so popular.... I guess everyone's wondering how exactly it looked on the car -- since the configurator does not do the color justice at all, and people were afraid to end up with a color they did not like so much. I took the risk and went ahead and ordered mine in SS/BLK -- even though I didn't exactly know how it would've looked. Took a sigh of relief after looking at the pics from the media launch. Mine's sitting somewhere between the docks in socal and the VDC (OL still says in transit).
I would've liked the Cool Blue as well, but it wasn't available. :-(
