Any body kit photos?

It is less that two months to the body kit used in the hyper sport package being available. Any photos yet? How is it different from the JCW aero kit?

I'm not at liberty to say who sent me this response, but I contacted a Mini expert with this question: "Plus, as long as I'm asking questions: 1. Have you heard anything about the MINI aero kit (the factory-installed one), in general from the JCW (which I'm getting)?

The person's answer was: "Not quite as sporty and I'm told not as good looking."

Take that as you wish. Apparently it's still quite under wraps!

I did hear today from askMINI that it will be about $1300 factory installed. That may be old news but it was new to me. -- That is pretty cheap!
Looks are open to personal opinion so I have to take that with a grain of salt although I am not too pleased with the image that appears in the Configurator of the front right spoiler. There hasn't been a aero kit that I have liked completely. I do like bits of the 2 I've seen pictures of. Might be doing an ala-cart thing in about a year. I do like the painted body bits though!

The first link looks like the JCW Aero kit. It looks different from the greyed-out photo on the US configuration site.

yep, the first link is the JCW kit. I don't think there's a picture of the factory aero kit yet.

On WhiteRoofRadio this week, Gabe reported that there are going to be three aero kits now. The JCW kit, which has been seen, the MINI aero kit which will be available in the Hyper Sport pack or as an add-on option, and the JCW factory kit will include a unique aero kit.

The JCW factory option is looking to be more than just an engine upgrade for the R56. It will be interesting to see what will be offered on the JCW. If it is still about $6k and includes engine upgrades, a body kit, and the suspension kit, I may just wipe my build clean and just get the JCW.

It's the wait that was the issue for me. Hence I bought an R56 MCS to last me until the JCW comes along, then i'll get one of the JCW's.

yes - and the hyper sport package is $1400 which makes the aero kit just $900 more for anyone who was going to get the sports suspension anyway.

My MINI's on a ship here as I write this so factory options were out of the question when I ordered a few weeks ago. Isn't there a Hammon kit also or is that a specialty racing version that comes as a complete pkg only -- sooped up engine/suspension/facia.

That is the best picture of Sparkling Silver I have seen! I'm still not keen on that rear bumper, though. I'll probably try to get the sideskirts to that kit. I like them a lot.

A very good friend of mine also has the JCW Aero-boykit on his '07 MINI Cooper S R56, Chili red! He is no member of this forum and I wouldn't think about not showing you all the pictures of his fine ride! She's beautiful!! Realy cool bodykit, with the brand-new JCW wheels, very, very nice! He also ordered the new Recaro seats for the interior!

Take a look:

His car will be deliverd at the same dealer, at the same day and same time as my new MINI Cooper S (Lightning Blue)!! Double delivery!
I think more pictures will come oncoming Thursday!

Hey illegalhunter,
I'm afraid to ask about your nic, but anyway -- Your JCW aero is being installed at the dealer -- are you paying for the install or does the price of include insatllation?
What did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?
Was it just the aero or improved -- stiffer suspension?
thanks

Looks sharp! I absolutely love those wheels, and the R56 loks great with 18s. Still, though, GET SOME LOWERING SPRINGS QUICK!

Congrats to both of you on your sweet new rides. I hope you have a blast with them.

Some day soon, we will drive to Germany to take a look at some tuner-shops, witch have lowering spring for sale. Hope they've got a demo-car to show how it looks. Off course my digital camera is going with me!

Can't wait. Both cars need lowering spring pretty bad!
