Questions regarding chrome gas cap

Is the chrome gas (petrol) cap on the MCS easy to steal? Does it have a locking or inside controlled latch associated with it? Can one remove it and siphon gas from your tank?

The cap is locked when your car is locked (and unlocked when you unlock your car).

It is linked to the central locking. The R56 gas cap is hinged to the body at the back edge, the actual gas cap (plastic) is under the chrome cap and attached to the filler neck by a plastic strap.
