I was driving home today in the center lane southbound on I-287 in NJ and suddenly from the corner of my left eye I see a shiny new MCS pass by me. I started following it for few miles and took the exit following it to have a closer look. It was the exact same car down to wheels as the one in pics below. While waiting ar traffic light next to it I noticed cool blue light on top of B-pillar in the cabin. The dash look bright and nice. The exhaust pipes are noticeably bigger than current MCS. Taillights also look bigger. Do I sound excited. Today was the day I forgot my camera home. I like what I saw. I may be visiting my dealer soon. Thanks for reading.

 

Was this car registered or did it have dealer/ transport tags on it?

 

Think thats a Dark SDilver? Or a bright silver in the shade?

 

It was registered with NJ plates.

 

I believe its sparkling silver in shade.

 

Linus, the fact that this car was registered is great news, I am nervous that the 1st 07's will be held untill mid Feb as some on NAM have suggested but this seems to debunk that a bit thanks...

Yes, I am in north NJ. It could be a BMW employee going home.

 

Several of us with MINIs on order have been informed that the cars will be held at the VSC until sometime in Feb. The cars are supposed to be delivered to the dealers a few days before the official launch date. My dealer implied that they know they have at least one car at the VSC now with no set delivery date. They do not believe that a customer will actually take delivery prior to 2/17. The best they can do is to allow inspection once the car arrives and complete all paperwork so that the delivery time is minimal on the actual release date.
I hope they are wrong as mine is currently awating transportation but I've waited more than two months, I can wait a bit longer. At least I have an 'old' MINI to keep me going

 

Must have been a Mini or BMW employee. I have a MC on order (actually built and in NY harbor today). I've been repeatedly told that we'll have to wait until launch date on 2/17. Agree with what Vader has heard. Was told to come do inspection, paper work etc, prior to and pick up on 2/17.

 

Im getting the dark silver and even the bright silver in the shade makes me want it so bad.
