Oh the pain... The pain.
He said, She said, They said... Who are you to believe?
:impatient
Yet there is hope gokart for you and others who are entranced by Oxygen Blue. It is only hearsay and not a validated fact.
Take heart and ask yourself the question, Don't you find it odd that BMW/MINI wouldn't offer a "Blue" for the Cooper?
After all, blue is a generally popular color and a version of it (blue) has been offered on every MINI model since the inception of the car.
Why stop now?
It would only seem logical to offer a "blue" for the Cooper and to make it specific for that model giving JustACooper owners some thunder of their own.
Remember, this color has been shrouded in smoke & mirrors since it was first announced. Perhaps this is just some of the residual gossip still fluttering about.
Time will tell the tale... Till then, take comfort in knowing that it's only gossip... So far.
I work at MINI in Canada and I've heard similar things about certain colours not coming to North America. Although we don't know much more than you at this point, I was told that in the first year, the colours will be limited and until 1/2 way through the 07 production and the beginning of the 08s we will start to see an expanded colour range. *fingers are crossed* because right now the colours are looking rather boring......... Basically the same colours we had before but with new names.........
VDC pics of candy blue,a little lighter then Oxy. Blue but another wierd blue color never to be seen.
Oh and the park lane MINI ...well look at the seats..their not the english leather and the paint job can be found on allot of moded cars in the US with the color change paint. I had worked on a old GTI 89' that was painted this color about 5 years ago. Very common at the paint shop for custom and one of the only color changing schemes.
I don't think this is a BMW or MINI spl. color.
I think someone did that convertible as a one off'.
I have the 07 MINI Cooper booklet in my hot little hands for CANADA (I assume it will be the same options in the US)

Sorry gokart!
No Oxygen Blue for '07.
Very dissapointing and agrravating!
Now, I like to think that I'm always the optimist... Sooooo maybe there is hope for you (and other fellow MINI enthusiasts) with an '08 R56!
Perhaps the nice folks at BMW/MINI will oblige us all and add more colors to the R56's palette!
It has been stated in this forum that more colors will be added as time goes on. Hang in there and maybe good things do come to those who wait!
Then again there is always the CR option.

I wonder if a certain amount of begging and pleading (and a few extra $) would bring you an Oxygen Blue???
It is being made in the same plant right?
I've seen a few "odd" and not offered NA colors around town here...including a minty green (which was factory) that came from a driver in Montreal, QC

So who does one have to cajole to get a MINI in the color they desire?
You've been a plethora of information JCWGurl. Now if you'll just whisper in our ear who's skids we have to grease...
You hear that gokart, there's still hope for the Oxy Blue Cooper!
There is one little problem though... You may have to go to Canada to get the Cooper of your dreams.
I suspect that this is not a Park Lane Mini, but a Mini from the Park Lane Mini dealers in London http://www.miniparklane.com/ its got a UK tax disc in the windscreen.
