This article doesn't contain anything we don't already know, but it is very positive.

Thanks for sharing! You're right...it contains little new, but in the absence of the real thing, any information is valuable.

Thanks, I love uplifiting articles. I started to think negative on some of the updates but now I am wondering if I should cancel my 06' order and wait for an 07'.

Nahh, they are all great and now I can look forward to a future upgrade of my base model.

Remember that the Base MINI is actually the MINI One (not sold here in the western hemisphere). The MINI Cooper is the factory hot rod. The MCS is an entirely different monster.

OK the current 115bhp version. I will wait for the potential bugs to be worked out of the new design.

It's getting harder to keep the somewhat sane voice in my head going..you know, the one that says: "I will not buy a car the first year or re-generation". (the voice that says the government is sending me messages through my toaster is still going strong).

May I suggest that you ignore the voices in your head and get your butt to Helix for those GIAC dynos?

Ditto, I just placed my order for one of the last 2006 models with that exact thinking. It was hard not to just wait a couple of months to get the 2007 but common sense won.

Tomorrow at 10 am vano! Wait a minute....what?...who told you that?...I need to duck tape what?.. Sorry, that was just my toaster talking to me again. I'll post on the GIAC thread in the Non-S Performance forum as soon as I get home tomorrow!

Enough to make me want the current 2006 MINI. The problem with the 2007 is it is a complete redesign and I have never seen a car company pull that off without finding issues. Especially with a brand new engine never used by the public.
