UK '07 Mini Options List from MotoringFile

What do you guys think? I noticed the LSD is missing.

EDITED by Dave: to include direct link to MotoringFile discussion, not just the PDF

I noticed the missing LSD too. Kind of makes me wonder. What I did find interesting is, those horrid amber front turn signals are white on the S & available as white on the Cooper.

Out of respect for Gabe and his hosting the information, I created a link to the MF discussion on this topic not just the pdf.

Not to single this thread out, because it has happened in other threads on NAM (and elsewhere) but:

I'm sure Gabe would appreciate it if people would link to the entire MF discussion, rather than just limited content that he's hosting. JMO, but he does deserve that courtesy.

No problem dude. We want him to get the hits for his advertisers. Next time I'll link directly to MF.

Great. I'm screwed until mid-2007

Bad enough that Dark Silver won't be available until December 2006.

Auto tranny on the MCS not expected until March 2007, which probably means delivery about this time next year.

That means I probably won't be able to even place the order until March 2007. Maybe I could look into getting my thighs artificially shortened.

Oh well, it was fun chasing it, now I'm going to have to just forget about it for another 6-8 months.

BTW, having a TV in the Nav system scares me.

The news on the Automatic for the S is bad bad bad. Not sure my current ride will last that long.

Really want a Mini, but this could be a dealbreaker :(

LSD will be on 07 says the dealer today

Dealer rep returned my call today and assures me that LSD will be available on the 07's. Better yet, the JCW brake package will be standard on the S. OK, same wheelbase, slightly more overhang, MCS with six speed 197 lbs lighter, JCW brake package standard...ALL GOOD BY ME! OH YEAH, if you want it...BRG will be available...not metallic...the real thing.

Just to clarify, "JCW brakes" will not be standard on the S. Larger brakes, similar in size to today's JCW brakes may be on the R56 MCS, but JCW brakes for the R56 are not anticipated until at least the middle of 2007 if not the fall of 2007.

I would not waste my time or yours, and that is what a rep at eastbaymini.com told me today on the phone. Of course, he also told me JCW brakes would be on the 07 MCS. I don't for a minute believe the man is misleading me, it may just be his interpretation. BUT BRG is BRG, and he said non metallic BRG will be offered. He brought the color up, not me. And thanks to the moderator or whoever clarified the JCW brake package thing. I'm not here to be Mister Disinformation.

If you can get this guy into a bet, it might be worth it.

Two different sources say BRG will continue to be metallic. The scan of the color sheet on the Official Colors? thread, and the PDF doc referenced in this thread.

But who knows, maybe it's coming next round?
