Checkout Autoweek Aug 7th 2006

Just got my Aug 7, 2006 AutoWeek in the mail and on page 4 there is a picture of a yellow S and a full page article describing first driving impressions. This version is not on the web site yet, but check back in a few days at www.autoweek.com and it should be shown

Sounds like some great new technology. I don't care if 90% of NAM members hate it...I want one.

I don't think they actually hate it. I think folks are just so worked up with anticipation and curiosity, that they come off as not liking it. But I am sure that most are waiting to see the new iteration for themselves before passing judgment. I know I am.

Road & Track

Got the new issue of Road & Track, and they had a small article about the new '07.

So, they confirm the 3" of length for greater increase in rear seat space, 3" yeah that's a lot.

Then they plan to make one with the 4-door style(maybe 3, correct me if I'm wrong) like the Mazda RX-8, with the two back doors suicide-style. This makes some sense, since they're are trying to compete with these other sporty cars that offer more convenient entry and exit into the rear seats, i.e. RX-8.

Might be a good thing, I think. Just thought I'd pass this along...

Happy Motoring

That's what we have all been calling the "Traveller" concept car. I participated in a market research study earlier this year and actually saw the new MINIs.....including the larger "Traveller." It has an interesting door set-up, for sure.

This article may be old news, but I'll post it anyway. It's not much for words, but has some cool cutaway drawings of front and rear suspension, etc.
