We won't know probably until this time next year... Heck the latest speculation is that the 2006's won't be out until September, and we only heard that a few months ago...

Probably will be the same with the 07's (one month more, one month less). If one MINI is not enough, how many are?

I'm just trying to prepare the terrain and the savings to get a good deal for a really late 06.

I bet for sure I'm not alone in this boat ... Am I?

Unless you plan on buying off the lot... Don't expect any deals... There is little to no discounting on MINIs.

If you're going to buy off the lot, it really doesn't matter when it is in the model year, what's more importan it how long the car has been sitting on the dealer's lot...

I'm interested in the Clubman too. I hope they have 2 rear doors and not a hatch. But it better have a turbo

Not very long, right now. MINI dealers across America have been getting slammed with lot sales, both new and used, the last few weeks since the gas spike. I have never seen my dealership so busy, and they only had one used car, an 02 PS/B MC w/low miles and sketchy leather. three weeks ago they were crowded with used MINIs, 15-20 I believe. Jimbo

I shouldn't say this, because I started the thread. After lots of time thinking I decided to go for a Crossfire SRT, and later debate between the MINI 2 and the current MINI. What do you think? Am I crazy? :impatient

You mean a previous generation Benz SLK with a Chrysler body and supercharged AMG V6 that's no longer in any current production Mercedes. Shoulda just bought a used SLK

I understand you, but the used SLK (the standard) costs much more. Chrysler bodys are better this days, specially the Crossfire imo. And yes, it's and old gen motor, but what's the problem? it's still a new AMG and Mercedes are built for last.

It's not ordered yet, I just know that I can't buy the 06 before the 07 arrives. And there's no other car in the market i really like thats is in my budget. I love my current MINI, that's the reason I'm keeping it.

Who knows, maybe there will be a convertible in 07 (has to be one of those), but I don't want to be a test mule for the bugs.
